2019 Chase Hunter Recruitment Update
Atlanta, GA – The 6-foot-3 combo guard Chase Hunter has had one of the best springs and summers in the country this year running with Atlanta Xpress in the Under Armour Association. His breakout high school season and AAU season earned him a plethora of high major offers and recently all those offers have been cut to five. Michigan State, Virginia, Oklahoma, Georgia, and Clemson are the five schools Chase has made the main ones and the only schools he is focused on.
Chase has broken down his relationship with each of the five schools with me. He plans on visiting Clemson this weekend August 18th with the Oklahoma visit coming the next weekend on August 25th and the Georgia visit on August 31st. “We are still working out a visit for Michigan State and Virginia”, Chase says.
On Clemson: “I have built a good relationship with the coaching staff and I like what Clemson has to offer me academically and on the court”.
On Georgia: “Great school academically, and basketball wise. HC Tom Crean has already been talking to me about how he can develop me”
On Oklahoma: “I like the way there offense is ran and I have built a good relationship with coaches there”
On Michigan State: “Big time school, been talking with the coaches to plan a visit to get up there soon”
On Virginia: “Coach Bennet and I have had some good talks. I like the school and they a great fan base there. Still working out a visit date”.
The rising senior is expected have a huge senior season with his Westlake High School squad, who last year lost in Georgia’s class 7A sweet 16.
