McAlesters Shooting Guard Todd Dawkins has been the most consistent threat for the Buffalos and has gained much interest as the season has gone on. Dawkins has flown under the radar for much of his career but now as a senior he has fully maximized his potential.
Dawkins is putting up outstanding numbers this season averaging 25 points 6 rebounds 2 assist and 3 steals. These numbers come from Dawkins superb shooting ability. He is never afraid to fire up the ball but always takes quality shots.Dawkins also has great size to be a shooting guard at the next level. He stands at 6’4” and uses his size to expose smaller defenders on the perimeter.
While flying under the radar, Dawkins currently holds a few offers from Hesston College(KS) and Southeastern Oklahoma State. He has also received interest from Harding University(AR) and Northeastern State University(OK).
Dawkins says he’s looking for a school that is going to help him achieve what he needs to achieve academically while playing basketball. With a few options on the table, he has time to make a decision. Dawkins says he plans to make a decision some time after playoffs.
Dawkins will be a huge pick up to whatever school he chooses. He has the size, strength and is developed enough to make an immediate contribution. With a strong finish to the season, expect many more school to jump into the Todd Dawkins sweepstakes.
