His explosiveness and first step is just on another level compared to most players his age. Michael could catch the ball out on the perimeter, and in the blink of an eye he'd blow past his defender and get to the rim. One of those drives resulted in an explosive one handed dunk that caught me off guard. Impressive handle and change of direction in a young guard.

If I had to award an MVP based on the games that I was able to watch, it would likely go to Brighton. At 6'5 he has an impressive blend of length, athleticism, and perimeter skill that makes him a mismatch nightmare against fellow 2030 players. In roughly eight minutes of his opening game, Brighton drained three 3's, converted two lay-ups, blocked a pair of shots, and threw down a two handed dunk in transition. I knew he had above the rim athleticism, but his touch beyond the arc and ability to make smart reads with the ball really stood out as well.

Juvonta is part of a loaded 2030 class at West Allis Central, and looks to be their point guard for the future. He's a highly skilled guard at a young age with a shifty handle to go along with impressive finishing ability around the rim. Leach does a great job of using his body to shield off defenders while being able to finish through contact with either hand in the lane. Has some shake-and-bake that allows him to create separation for jumpers out on the perimeter, but also knows when to keep things simple.

I only saw Ronmel during the 3v3 portion of the showcase, but he had the most impressive change-of-speed that I saw out of any guard yesterday. Ferguson was freezing defenders with his hesitation move, and then blowing by them to either get to the rim or get into his pull-up jumper. So unpredictable with the ball in his hands. He's not just a scorer either, as Ronmel dished out some impressive no-look assists to set up his teammates around the rim. One to watch for out of Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln.

Arroyo is another high ceiling prospect in the state's 2030 class. At 6'5 he has fluid athleticism, moving in a way not many young players his size can. He could take a rebound and weave through defenders to go coast-to-coast, he could score out of the post, or he could knock down the open jumper. When he got a clear path to the rim, Arroyo showed he can finish with a two handed dunk. Formed a dangerous 1-2 punch all day long with [player_tooltip player_id='3717609' first='Brighton' last='Webb'].

With how loaded the team currently is, it may take Isaac a year or two to get consistent varsity minutes, but he's certainly a player to know moving forward. One of the best pure shooters I saw all day, he doesn't need much space to get his shot off, and already gets some good elevation on his three point jumper. Isaac does a great job of catching and quickly getting squared up to the rim off the move, allowing him to get his shots off before defenders can close out on him.
