This team had a lot of wings and bigs who were focused on scoring first, so Frazier stood out from his Point Guard position as a guy who looked to make others better before he hunted his own shot. That doesn't mean he isn't a capable scorer, because he is one of the better catch-and-shoot guards in the class, but his ability to play with tempo, force turnovers, and simply set his teammates up in good spots helped this squad run smoothly all day long.

This guard also impressed with some playmaking flashes, but he was one of the leading scorers of the camp. His consistent motor was extremely impressive, because he never took plays off on either end of the floor. Bland does a really good job of getting to the rim off the dribble, but he did play off the ball a little bit, which allowed him to drive closeouts and show off a solid catch-and-shoot stroke.

Checkout my Five Breakout Names at the Carolinas Freshman Showcase for a deeper breakdown on Jayden's Game.

Henry battled through an injury to be a nice piece for Team 4 at the Carolinas Freshman Showcase. Despite not having a major physical advantage, he was an active defender who had quick hands, solid positioning, and good lateral quickness to make life difficult for opponents. Nick will also jump passing lanes and help out on the glass. Offensively, Henry balanced scoring and facilitating well, and he has a jump shot that projects well long-term.

Just by watching Shiheem once, it was easy to see the type of basketball culture he was molded in. He brings a fantastic defensive motor, which is required at Lancaster High School, but he also has intriguing physical tools that allow him to be even more impactful right now. Although it was the defense that stood out to us the most, he did show flashes of offensive skill that make him even more of a name to know. Crockett-Peay knocked down open threes, finished well at the rim, and has a solid handle to create off the bounce.

DJ was one of the most dominant interior presences at the Freshman Showcase. His combination of size, strength, and fluidity makes him a very difficult matchup for young bigs, but when he got a guard switched onto him, it was over. Scott did show some more skill than I've seen from him in previous instances, such as an improved handle to create things off the dribble and push the pace after defensive rebounds.

Continuing on the theme of two-way frontcourt pieces for this group is Ryant. Although he's only listed at 6'2", Jakobe played bigger than that size because of his lack of fear to mix it up inside. He proved to be an effective on-ball defender, which allowed others around him to take chances in passing lanes and as shot blockers. He was at his best offensively playing in transition, but he did move well without the ball and knocked down a couple of shots throughout the day.

Barnes is another wing who did some good things for Team 4 in Rock Hill. John has a very strong frame for his age, which allows him to hold up against multiple positions defensively and mix it up in the paint offensively. He worked hard on both sides of the glass and ran the floor well in transition, but there is some room for improvement with the ball in his hands offensively. When that comes, it is easy to see him as an impactful player over four years at Heathwood Hall.

One of the two players on Team 4 who showed some elite long-term potential at the Freshman Showcase is [player_tooltip player_id='3704691' first='Isaiah' last='Clark']. Clark looked terrific playing against players of similar age and developmental levels, but there is still room for him to hit his ceiling. Isaiah was dominant using his size and athleticism to slash to the rim, but as he becomes a more polished perimeter shooter, he could easily be one of the best wings in South Carolina's 2030 class.

Checkout my Five Best from the Carolinas Freshman Showcase for a deeper breakdown on Isaiah's Game.

[player_tooltip player_id='3673046' first='Darian' last='Randolph'] rounds out the Team 4 Evaluations. He is the second player who earned himself a spot in the conversation for the Top 10 of the 2030 Rankings debut next March, doing so on the back of defensive playmaking and offensive flashes. Randolph always makes his presence felt around the rim with his elite length and high motor, but his skill was on display more than I had seen in past instances, which has me much higher on him than I was going into the weekend.

Checkout my Five Best from the Carolinas Freshman Showcase for a deeper breakdown on Darian's Game.
