Summer Stock Risers: 2027 Point Guards

With the summer grassroots season nearly complete and most evaluations done until the fall, the recruiting landscape for the Class of 2027 is beginning to take shape. Several prospects elevated their stock with strong performances throughout the June and July live recruiting periods. Florida's 2027 recruiting class features some of the top prospects in the country. Here is a look at a handful of point guards in the 2027 class who did the most to boost their recruiting profile this summer.    There is not a prospect in the country that was more impressive than Daughtry this summer. Beginning with a gold medal with Team USA and ending with a Nike Peach Jam championship and MVP honors, the South Florida native is making a push to be the nation's top overall prospect. Daughtry is a highly skilled lead guard with an extremely high basketball IQ. He can pass, dribble and shoot it from the perimeter to go along with high level speed and quickness. The country's top programs are in hot pursuit of this rising senior.     Daughtry's biggest competition for the nation's #1 spot is Black who was equally impressive with USA Basketball and Nike's EYBL. Black has positional size to go along with in impressive offensive skill set and feel for the game. He is capable of being a scorer or distributor and sees the floor very well. Texas and Arkansas are among the elite programs involved with Black's recruitment.     Another member of Florida's 2027 class who took home a major circuit MVP award, Britt led [program_tooltip program_id='2863450' first='Tre' last='Mann Elite'] to the Puma Pro 16 Championship in Texas. The lead guard is a strong, tough, scoring guard who is capable of playing with or without the ball in his hands. He plays with confidence, has a high basketball IQ and is an above average athlete. Britt can create his own offense off the dribble and is a solid perimeter shot maker from beyond the arc both off the catch and off the dribble.     One of the top prospects on the Made Hoops Circuit, Fuentes is a strong, athletic, attacking lead guard who has made the move to DME Academy. A high academic prospect, the rising senior has a high basketball IQ and can really pass and shoot it from the perimeter. He plays with toughness and has the leadership qualities to run a team at the high school and collegiate level.     The prospect that has made the biggest jump in his recruitment this summer is Tyndale who led Canada to a victory over the USA in the u18 FIBA Americup where he was named MVP. A ligthning quick point guard, Tyndale emerged during his junior season at Montverde Academy and has taken another step forward this summer. He is excellent with the ball, very tough to stay in front of and a reliable shot maker from beyond the arc. Tyndale is a creative finisher and a willing on-ball defender who can disrupt opponent's offense.
