On May 31-June 2nd I attended the annual Pangos All-American Camp at Bishop Gorman HS in Las Vegas. Camp director Dinos Trigonis put around 100 players from all over the country competing in front of scouts like myself and NBA personnel trying to get on some of the future NBA draft boards. Many Arizona players came out to compete and did quite well. 9 players made an all-star game with three making the Top-30 Cream of the Crop game and six making the Top-60 game.

[player_tooltip player_id='3241080' first='Hassan' last='Abdulkadir'] Bella Vista Prep (Pictured)

A powerful post player was 9th in scoring 16ppg, 13th in rebounds and 9th in blocks. He is very hard to move and holds his ground in the paint. He gives high effort and plays super hard. He is a very good finisher in the paint with soft hands, he will step out and hit the three off the catch, score with hook shots, alley-oop dunks and pops up to flush it down. He moves well in space and closes out to shooters and will block shots in his area and grabs out of area rebounds.

[player_tooltip player_id='2370259' first='Terry' last='McKinney III'] Millennium

A versatile wing forward was 9th in assists and 10th in steals. He was playing an unselfish brand of basketball as a point forward type and can dribble into paint but then find a teammate. He is a very good rebounder in his area and will defend a few positions. He will flush it down on the break and hit the three off the catch.

[player_tooltip player_id='2432574' first='Terrance' last='Byrd'] Sandra Day O'Connor

The bigger wing forward is a true point forward type. He was top-25 in scoring and assists. He uses his handle and strong frame to get to his spots and then will thread the needle off of a live dribble to a teammate. He get to the free throw line or will score at the rim off of tough takes and will dunk it easily on the break. He is in line for a huge season with SDO.

[player_tooltip player_id='2278688' first='Precious' last='Sam'] AZ Compass Prep

A strong post player was top-20 in blocks and 4th in rebounds at 8 per game. He runs the floor well and will dunk it quickly off of his guards feeds as his hands are quickly improving. He will score with offensive rebound put backs, tip-ins and he moves well in space to defend on the perimeter and then will alter shots and grab tough boards.

[player_tooltip player_id='2197693' first='Chris' last='Brown'] Dream City Christian

A top of food chain rebounder is one of states best rebounders with his long arms and broader shoulders. He was 2nd at the camp in rebounds with 9 per and top-10 in blocks. He has great timing and he will outlet the ball well. He scores with polished hook shots, which is his go-to move and quick twitch dunks.

[player_tooltip player_id='2574808' first='Ruach' last='Gony'] Bella Vista Prep

A long and fluid athlete was 4th in steals and top-10 in rebounds with his sticky fingers. He will cover a lot of ground on defends but also score with threes off the catch, bully-ball traffic takes and mid-range jumpers. His rebounding, athleticism and defense keeps him on the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='3593547' first='Cesaire' last='Yenan'] Bella Vista Prep

A massive player at nearly 250 lbs was the top rebounder in the camp with 11 per game, 3rd in block shots and 21st in scoring. He will seal his man and score inside with drop steps and he literally tries dunking everything or goes up quickly to lay it in. He will also score with put backs using his broad shoulders with his length and high effort.

[player_tooltip player_id='2215387' first='Jahmai' last='Samuel-Maragh'] Bella Vista Prep

A good sized scoring guard is turning into your classic 3 and D type. He has a strong, stocky frame and he will rattle in triples one by one off the catch. He can create a little for himself off the dribble but is best off the ball. he uses his length and frame to keep his opponents in front of him.
