His controlled tempo and sharp timing on delayed moves force defenders into constant guessing. The subtle hesitation is both crafty and aggressive, letting him explode downhill for effortless finishes. This ability to dictate the rhythm keeps opponents off balance and opens clean paths to the rim.
Coleman, despite being one of the youngest guards in attendance, excelled throughout the day and showed a level of composure that stood out among the group. His poise with the ball in his hands elevates his game and makes him that much more difficult to guard. He is a legitimate three-level scorer who can create off the dribble in the mid-range, get downhill to the basket, and light it up from deep when given space off the catch. Coleman also brings a scrappy mentality to both ends of the floor, showing the ability to make plays as a facilitator while consistently putting his teammates in position to succeed. Defensively, he is constantly flying around the floor, diving on loose balls, competing for every possession, and using his quick hands to pick opposing guards’ pockets. His combination of scoring ability, composure, toughness, and defensive activity gives him a well-rounded game that should continue to develop as he gets older. Coleman is an all-around solid prospect who should have plenty of opportunities to turn the heads of high-level college coaches over the next few years.
Coleman is a creative scoring guard who brings a diverse offensive skill set to the floor. He has a deep bag of moves and consistently finds different ways to put points on the board, whether it’s creating off the dribble, scoring in the midrange, or knocking down shots from the perimeter. His feel for the game and ability to make shots allows him to generate a lot of offense. One of Coleman’s biggest strengths is his versatility in the backcourt. He is capable of playing either guard spot, giving his team flexibility in how he is used. When running the point, he does a good job creating opportunities for teammates and keeping the offensive flow. When playing off the ball, he becomes a dangerous scoring threat who can attack closeouts and capitalize on open looks. Coleman is a guard who can impact the game in a variety of ways.
Coleman is an impressive combo guard who can take on multiple roles for a team. As a lead guard he handles ball pressure well and orchestrates an offense efficiently. He is very good at making reads look easy in ball screen situations. Coleman is more than a facilitator, he can really score it in the lane with a quick first step and nice handle to get by defenders. He also has a nice mid range game and knocked down several jumpers off the dribble from there. A growing three point shooter as well. Coleman will be a premiere guard to watch in Georgia’s class of 2029.
