One of the state’s top shooting threats from beyond the arc, Dancy impressed this summer with ATL Pivot. He has consistent footwork and shot preparation to go along with a quick release, making him a dangerous perimeter threat. Dancy can also attack a closeout and is a capable finisher in the paint. The senior plays with a high motor, is active on the defensive end, and is a prospect college coaches should have on their radar this season.

I first got the chance to watch Dancy this summer when he matched up against my Centennial squad, and he immediately caught my eye. I was glad to get another opportunity to sit down and watch him compete, and he once again showed plenty of upside as a lengthy scoring guard. Dancy can create offense off the bounce, getting into the mid-range for pull-up jumpers or attacking the rim and finishing through contact. He has a true scorer’s mentality and can be extremely difficult to slow down once he gets into a rhythm. His continued improvement as a three-point shooter has made him an even tougher matchup, especially when paired with his quick first step and ability to get downhill. Dancy is a prospect who continues to trend upward and should be a name college coaches keep on their radar heading into his senior season.

Dancy has earned a spot in our upcoming 2027 player rankings after an impressive summer with Atlanta Pivot. The Mays High School product is a high level shot maker who has efficient foot work and a quick release. Dancy moves well without the ball in his hands and is capable of driving a closeout and finishing in the paint.

Dancy is a dynamic scoring wing that has shown an impressive ability to score on all three levels this summer. At the GBCA Live Period event, he had a dominant showing by scoring the ball from the perimeter while also attacking the rim to score at will. Dancy has a long and strong build that helps him defend as well. He uses his length effectively to contest shots and make opposing scorers uncomfortable on the defensive end. This is definitely a guy small college programs should have on their recruiting board as he goes into his senior year. His combination of production, physical tools, and two-way versatility makes him a prospect worth monitoring closely this season.

Dancy is a crafty scoring wing who has a ton of upside in his game. To start he has a strong build with length and is quite the athlete. Right off the bat he passes the eye test for the next level. His scoring ability is impressive as well, whether finishing high above the rim in the half court on nice drives to the basket or knocking it down town at a high clip he is a threat that poses a lot of problems for defenses. Dancy is a wing that if I was a college coach I would take a serious look at and continue to watch as he goes into his senior season.
