***Use Code “ScottyB30” for 30% off your annual subscription***

The Chicago Elite Classic is one of the premier annual must attend scouting events in the state of Illinois. PHI was in the house for every game on Friday and Saturday. Here is a look at the Top Stock Risers from Illinois at CEC!

[player_tooltip player_id='2125641' first='Jamier' last='Montgomery'] (Crane – 2027)

Montgomery is an intriguing rangy point guard that has a high ceiling in the 2027 class. Like what he brings off the bounce scoring on mid-range jumpers, and-1s, and can knock in a three. Good floor game that has continued to improve getting others involved and picking spots to look for his own while still getting others the ball in spots to do damage. Defensively he showcased what he can do getting his hands on a plethora of steals. Went for 13 points (4-10 FG), 5 rebounds, 3 assists, and 4 steals.

[player_tooltip player_id='1874813' first='Jayden' last='Taylor'] (Perspectives – 2027)

Taylor is a prospect that has been known as a scorer in his career. The jumper wasn't falling against Crane, but he still impacted in a major way with his ability to get his shot makers and big man involved. Split the defense and found teammates behind the arc. Made crisp simple decisions that resulted in positive plays. Taylor had 6 points (2-9 FG) and 9 assists.

[player_tooltip player_id='2839877' first='Elton' last='Jaegerskog'] (New Trier – 2027)

Jaegerskog had a really nice outing on Friday night. The wing with size showed better handles than we had seen from him in the past. Won on straight line slashes where he scored or was fouled. Like what he brought defensively as well causing havoc. He had 11 points (3-7 FG), 5 rebounds, and 3 steals.

[player_tooltip player_id='2864925' first='Amare' last='LeFlore'] (Hyde Park – 2026)

Leflore stepped up for Hyde Park in their win over Lincoln Park. The senior is a tough as nails guard that brings leadership and the ability to put the ball in the hoop. Mixed in drives, jumpers, and trips to the line for 14 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 steals.

[player_tooltip player_id='2829613' first='Danny' last='Ruffin'] (Homewood Flossmoor – 2027)

Ruffin is a two guard that caught our eye this summer. We like the physical profile with his strength, athleticism, and that translating into production. The numbers might now wow you, but he is an efficient scorer that can defend, rebound, and be a secondary playmaker. He had 7 points (3-7 FG), 5 rebounds, and 3 assists.

[player_tooltip player_id='2244002' first='Jayden' last='Madden'] (Bolingbrook – 2026)

Madden is one of the top big men on the board in 2026. He has always been more prospect than player since the first time I saw him. You look at him with his size, length, and fluid athleticism it screams D1 prospect. The motor and production run hot and cold though. In 13 minutes of action vs HF we saw a really good version of Madden. Finished dump offs, hook shot off deep post position, and crashed for a put back. Defensively he was a game changer as we had him for four blocks when he was in there. Also scored 6 points (3-3 FG) and 4 rebounds.

[player_tooltip player_id='2437525' first='Joel' last='Paasch'] (Warren – 2026)

Paasch is going to be a major weapon for Warren this season as a catch and shoot guy that can let it fly. He is out there to open up the floor for Davis and Walker to do their work. It was evident in their game vs Curie when he got it the rock was going up! He was 4-10 from beyond the arc for 16 points. Definitely think this is a small college prospect.

[player_tooltip player_id='2298580' first='Kaydin' last='Williams'] (Simeon – 2026)

Williams is going to be the face of the Simeon team this year. He is a transfer guard from Lincoln Park that has burst off the bounce on straight line takes and uses his speed in transition. Came away impressed with his improved playmaking feel for the [program_tooltip program_id='2076046' first='Wolverines' last='']. He had 11 points (5-8 FG), 4 rebounds, and 4 assists.

[player_tooltip player_id='2376273' first='Zion' last='Lee'] (DePaul Prep – 2026)

Lee had a nice showing coming off the bench for the Rams. Lengthy combo guard that is quick on the offensive glass, has some defensive versatility, and shooting potential as he hit one three along with a baseline J for 9 points and 4 rebounds in 17 minutes.

[player_tooltip player_id='2532358' first='Zaire' last='Green'] (Whitney Young – 2027)

Green is a spark for the Dolphins. Well built guard that is a plus shooter from beyond the arc. Poured them in at a 3-7 clip along with being strong on the glass from his guard spot. He had 9 points and 4 rebounds.

[player_tooltip player_id='2125620' first='Duke' last='Ross'] (St. Ignatius – 2027)

Ross has taken the step from prospect to player as a junior. Different player than we saw in the spring. He is playing a key role for an Iggy team that is winning big games early on. What we like is he is playing within himself and not forcing things. He is a shooter that hits them at a good clip when open as he was 4-4 against Whitney Young. With his positional size he contributes on the boards on both ends. Nose for the ball and is a connective passer. In their win he went for 16 points and 6 rebounds.

[player_tooltip player_id='2323617' first='Markese' last='Peoples'] (St. Laurence – 2027)

Peoples is such an interesting prospect as the 6'2” guard plays like a big man. He is a power player that is built like a defensive end. The junior knows how to play bully ball in the lane, but is also skilled and crafty while doing so. He has such unique game that the only player I can really think of I can comp him to as a non shooting power and productive guard is former O'Fallon and Butler standout Roosevelt Jones. He dropped 13 points (5-9 FT) and 8 rebounds.

[player_tooltip player_id='2416198' first='TJ' last='Eaton'] (Rich Township – 2027)

Eaton opened some eyes in the last game of the event. He had a nice stretch where he was leaving his imprint on the game pouring in mid-range jumpers, a three, and getting on the offensive boards. Finished with 11 points (5-7 FG) and 6 rebounds.
