NCHSAA 2A East Region All State Tournament Team: Part 2
Farmville Central 2021 Guard Terquavion Smith: A top 10 freshman in the state, he showed that he was worthy of his ranking with outstanding play throughout the entire season, including the playoffs. He averaged just under 22 points a game and is a player that is already picking up interest from numerous D1 programs.
Greene Central 2019 Forward Imajae Dodd: One of the more recognizable players on this team, he plays the game with a sense of calm that puts his whole team at ease. Don’t let the laid back demeanor fool you though, he plays extremely hard and loves to compete, although Greene Central came up short , he will be looking again to help his team get back to the state championship next season.
South Granville 2021 Guard Bobby Pettiford: His team was eliminated early on but you have to love his talent and the potential he has to be a very special player. The athleticism, scoring ability and strength for a player that is only a freshman are all things that grab your attention early on.
Roanoke Rapids 2021 Guard Po King: In his first season of high school basketball he performed well and has a chance to do some major damage before its all said and done. He averaged 16 points per game to go along with 5 Rebounds and 3 Assist, he’s one to keep an eye on.
Kinston HS 2020 Guard Damian Dunn: There is alot to like about Dunn, his numbers were impressive this season with 17 points and 6 rebounds per game. He’s picked up some offers already but could blow up and pick up some more looks with some stellar play this spring and summer on the Adidas circuit.
Northern Vance 2019 Guard Marcus Harrison: If you haven’t seen him play yet, then his game is pretty simple to explain, he gets a lot of buckets in a short amount of time. Their final game of the season was no different as he went for 25 points in their first round matchup against Roanoke Rapids.
West Craven HS 2019 Guard Laqueze Campbell: West Craven made a deep run in the playoffs and part of the reason was because of the success of this young man. In their final game of the season against Farmville Central he went for 31 points and 6 rebounds, he will be one to keep an eye on this summer.
