Glenbard Tournament: 12 Prospects Who Caught Our Attention

Wednesday we checked out both games from the Glenbard tournament featuring all four schools in host Glenbard West along with Glenbard East, Glenbard North, and Glenbard South. There are quite a few high level prospects and some sleepers emerged in the double header. Here is a look at it in Glenbard Tournament: 12 Prospects Who Caught Our Attention!    It was a slow start for Carpenter as he only scored four points in the first half, but the top 20 junior erupted in the third quarter taking his game and team to another level as he scored 15 points. The lead went from four to out of control just like that. What you like about this junior is his fluid athleticism, shot making, and transition scoring. He made shots off movement throughout the night along with a slick step back three. Won on straight line takes along with finishing at the rim with his off hand multiple times. In transition he is a force with his speed and ability to throw it down. Played quite a bit on the ball as well in this game. He had 21 points.     Redento is another highly ranked sophomore wing for this squad. Love the physical tools at 6'6” 190 pounds with a great frame and go go gadget arms. He impacts on the defensive end both laterally and vertically. Seems like he has made the jump from prospect to productive player as well. Cut off the ball for a finish in the paint, drained a couple threes, and played above the rim in transition. Very connective passer that makes the right decisions. He is a D1 prospect that coaches are going to love because he can fit in any system and with different skill sets because he is so versatile. Went for 18 points.     Welch is a PHI small college favorite in the 2026 class. He is a flat out baller! High level shooter that connected on four of them spotting up in their win. Quick release and consistent mechanics every single time. More than just a shooter he is crafty around the hoop posting up and is sneaky with the ball in his hands taking it to the cup. Plus passer that makes the right decisions and has improved as a defender. Went for 19 points.     Jackson was a revelation for Glenbard South as he came out firing right out of the gates from beyond the arc. The senior guard made seven triples in the game as he shot it with a ton of confidence from beyond the arc en route to 25 points.     Reese is the go to player for Glenbard South. The 6'0” junior guard is also a plus shooter as he drained a trio of them with smooth mechanics. Showed solid passing on the move throughout the game while scoring 9 points.     Nee is headed to South Dakota and the top 25 prospect showed flashes of why in this one. Known as one of the most lethal shooters in the senior class he drained a step back three, pull up long ball, and had a tough spinning mid-range J. An underrated part of his game however is his passing. Set up his teammates well with crisp passing and sound decisions. Scored 14 points.     Marynowski emerged this summer as a 6'3” forward that can play at the small college level. He did most of his damage around the hoop on pick/rolls, finishes inside, and protected the rim with a couple blocks. Also hit a three off movement for 9 points.     Walton is a strong 6'6” power forward that was tough on the defensive end throughout the night against Glenbard West. He blocked shots including swatting one and taking it the other way for a finish.     House is a new name that emerged for me as the senior guard is a transfer who displayed excellent athleticism and motor. Burst with the ball in his hands winning in transition turning defense into offense in a hurry. Brings this group a lot of juice as he had 13 points!     Abushunab is among the better uncommitted players in the senior class. He was extremely quiet through the first three quarters, but came alive in the fourth. Struggled finishing around the hoop in this game so in the last session he went out beyond the arc helping his team get back in it with a pair of feathery threes and a clean mid-range jumper for 11 points.     Sheeley is a 6'1” guard who shined as a spot up shooter as the junior made four of them for 12 points.     Same thing for Harvanek as he is a floor stretching guard at 6'0” that made three from distance for 9 points.
