On Saturday October 25th I attended the 27th annual Arizona Preps Showcase at Inspire Courts. It is typically the last event before tryouts in November. There was around 55 different high schools in attendance and I viewed around 20 of them.

Here were some standout Stock Risers

[player_tooltip player_id='2883785' first='Ethan' last='Sang'] Ben Franklin (Pictured)

A very fluid wing forward who seems to keep growing. He will score it from all three levels with tough takes thru contact scoring with and-1's. He will rattle in threes one by one with a quickly improving stroke. His length, size and fluidity allows him to defend multiple positions.

[player_tooltip player_id='2764046' first='Malachi' last='Jones'] Gilbert

A power forward showed off his full repertoire. He is a top of the food chain rebounder in and out of his area and will score thru the contact. He will shoot it with mid-range jumpers and hit the catch three. He is shooting it now off the dribble as well. Inside he will smartly ball fake and go up and also block shots.

[player_tooltip player_id='2552769' first='Izaiah' last='Rawlings'] Apollo

An undersized scoring point guard is stronger and comes with more skill. He is very quick to burst past his initial defender to the basket. He will touch the paint and will drive and kick it or slip it into a teammate. He has deep volleyball line three point range and is highly competitive regardless of the score.

[player_tooltip player_id='2423942' first='Apollo' last='Jennings'] Chandler

A power forward with longer arms and broader shoulders is a rebounding machine in and out of his area. He corrals the ball in heavy traffic versus bigger players and does the grunt work. He will score with dives to the basket and can catch tough passes and will go up or off the glass.

[player_tooltip player_id='2674062' first='Nick' last='Rosato'] Desert Mountain

A good sized scoring guard comes off of a screen and will fire away from the three point line with a quicker trigger and a pure stroke. He collects a bunch of steals in the passing lanes and will score with offensive rebound put backs. Look for Rosato to have a big season.

[player_tooltip player_id='2339785' first='Zack' last='Vendrell'] Sequoia Charter

One of the top shooters on the day made the transfer from Gilbert High. He will drill triples one by one and every time it comes off of his hands it looks like it is going on. He will throw passes up the court unselfishly but when it is time to score, he will fill it up.

[player_tooltip player_id='2507248' first='Dom' last='Gonzalez'] Paradise Valley

A highly skilled power forward has a little size with soft hands. He will rip thru getting downhill to the rim scoring thru contact with his stronger frame. He will score with facing up to the three and fall away from his defender in the post with a nice touch. He rebounds well in his area.
