Erique was one of the few freshmen to earn varsity minutes and make an early impact. This summer, he looked ready for an even bigger role. He's a strong, physical guard who thrives on contact. He uses his frame to overpower defenders and finish through traffic. He's added mid-range pull-ups and occasional three-point range, rounding out his game, and that seems to be what he has spent the most work on progressing. After a solid summer, Diggins looks poised for a breakout year and is jumping onto the rankings.

Lewis earned his debut spot in the rankings after standing out defensively this summer. He's a long, athletic, and instinctive player who can impact the game with his defensive work. He disrupts plays, jumps into passing lanes for steals, and turns defense into offense. His quickness and strength allow him to guard multiple positions and impact winning and that will be asked of him this season. Offensively, he thrives in transition and knocks down mid-range shots. With continued defensive focus, Lewis could become an invaluable two-way piece for East and easily makes his debut on the rankings.

Eli impressed this summer with his confident scoring and smooth offensive rhythm. He's a natural three-level scorer who consistently finds ways to fill it up and make plays within the flow of the offense. When that flow stops, he can make plays happen on his own, and that offensive creativity is what sets him apart. Eli reads the floor well and shows comfort creating off the bounce or spacing the floor. As he continues learning when to attack and when to pace himself, Eli's upside makes him one of 2028's names to know, and I am expecting him and that Fountain Fort-Carson team to make one of the biggest rises in the state.

Cordova turned heads a few weeks back at the showcase with his two-way impact and fearless approach, and that is why he will be jumping onto the rankings this next go-round. He competed with top guards in the class, pushed the pace, and also showed a willingness to defend. Offensively, he created shots within rhythm and made smart reads for open cutters. Defensively, he stayed active in passing lanes and was active. As he takes on a bigger role at Northfield, I expect him to keep rising with his energy and versatility, and that is how he will earn minutes this season.

Ayon is a confident and steady guard who thrives with the ball in his hands. His summer showed major development as a shooter and facilitator, and that is a big reason that he's making his debut into the rankings. He's a guard that excels at controlling tempo, operating in the pick-and-roll, and creating scoring chances for himself and teammates. Ayon is a skilled three-level scorer who competes on both ends, and that consistency has been great to watch. Ayon looks ready to contribute to Cherokee Trail and could make a real splash this season. He's an easy add to the list.
