Diggins is making a massive jump in the rankings after having a season where he helped lead Forge Christian to a deep playoff run and looked like one of 3A’s best. In the playoffs, he really elevated his game as the offense ran through him; he stepped up his rebounding output and also relentlessly got to the rim. Diggins finished up the year averaging 12.2 points and 5.5 rebounds a game. They put the ball in his hands and let him operate, and now he’s taken that momentum into the summer. Diggins is an electric player in this class who will be on more radars moving forward. Get eyes on Wiggins if you can. 

Diggins was everywhere on the floor, delivering a true do it all performance throughout the tournament. He scored in a variety of ways, attacking downhill with strong, controlled drives while also showing touch from the perimeter. His range extended comfortably to the three point line, where he knocked down shots with confidence. Defensively he stood out in man coverage and stayed locked in, moved his feet well and generated steals by anticipating passing lanes. His activity and instincts created extra possessions and easy transition chances. With his two way impact and scoring versatility, Diggins proved to be a constant difference maker

Diggins showed why he’s a star at Forge Christian with a big time performance in the semifinals, leading the way with 16 points, 1 rebound, 2 assists and 2 blocks. He constantly got downhill with ease, attacking the defense and finishing strong at the rim whenever the lane opened up. His aggressiveness kept the pressure on all game. On the defensive end, Diggins was just as impactful, playing in your face defense that forced shooters to give up their looks. When the game reached its biggest moments, he stepped up again, being involved in the final two plays that secured the victory. His ability to impact the game on both ends proved to be the difference

Diggins played a key role for Forge Christian with a well rounded performance, finishing with 14 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. He did a great job running the offense and keeping his team organized while still being aggressive looking for his own shot. Diggins showed strong court vision, creating scoring opportunities for teammates and making smart decisions with the ball. When the defense gave him space, he stepped up and knocked down shots while also attacking the lane to keep the pressure on. What makes him dangerous moving forward is his ability to control the tempo and impact the game as both a scorer and a playmaker, making him a tough guard for any defense

Diggins has been a major spark for 16–1 Forge Christian, elevating his play in a big way throughout January. He put together standout scoring performances of 17, 17, and a season high 34 points, while also grabbing a season best 10 rebounds, showing his ability to impact the game beyond just scoring. His strength lies in his constant cutting and ability to get to the rim, where he finishes at an elite 60 percent from the field. That efficiency makes him difficult to contain, especially off the ball. On the other end Diggins adds real value with his perimeter defense, consistently locking down opponents and setting the tone defensively

Erique was one of the few freshmen to earn varsity minutes and make an early impact. This summer, he looked ready for an even bigger role. He’s a strong, physical guard who thrives on contact. He uses his frame to overpower defenders and finish through traffic. He’s added mid-range pull-ups and occasional three-point range, rounding out his game, and that seems to be what he has spent the most work on progressing. After a solid summer, Diggins looks poised for a breakout year and is jumping onto the rankings.
