Best shooter in the gym for the 2027 age group, and frankly all night. Based on how Hamilton let er rip, he likely hasn't met a look from three he doesn't like. For good reason too, as he made it rain from all the court. Off the dribble pull ups in transition and was deadly from spot up shots. Especially the way he raced to them in transition. Fantastic shooting touch, who makes open corner threes look like layups. His teammates knew this and the repeatedly fed him. Creating a microwave type scoring effect, as he can hit shots in bunches.

Efficient and crafty shooter, with his coach's kid background being clear. Made the right passes and took good looks. Utilizes backdoor cuts to take advantage of players overplaying his shooting ability. Smart player on both ends of the court. Looks ready to defend Calumet's Class B State Title.

Started 5 on 5 play a bit passive and not dialed in from distance. But that quickly changed with a "NBA Jam style HE'S ON FIRE" stretch of impressive shotmaking from deep. Including draining a pull up heat check three that was his third make in a row. When Newton shoots the ball with confidence like that, he's among the best shooters in the Oklahoma sophomore class. Was a fun moment of seeing his potential to be a game changer, who can string together makes in a hurry.

Good shooter from distance, with understanding and feel for the flow of the offense. Took good looks with threes, and even getting into the mid-range a bit. Was efficient in his shot selection, not forcing looks. Instead often making the right pass to open teammates. Willing defender, but will need to improve his footspeed to be more effective against quicker guards. Rock solid foundation headed into a pivotal junior year at his new high school, Edmond North.

Garza has a strong frame for his age. He shoots it clean from deep, and looks to take advantage of close outs to get into the 15-18 range for mid-range. Sometimes it was simple 1-3 dribble redirects after being pushed off the line. But also did probe deeper one time and hit a nice turnaround jumper. Now listed at Norman North after starting his career at a non OSSAA program.

Classic floor spacer, who must always be accounted for in the halfcourt. Was automatic in the corners, and kept slipping open all over the perimeter with a fantastic shooting display during the 5 on 5 portion for the 2028s. Is comfortable hitting from a few steps behind the three point line. Was a long range bomber off the bench for the undefeated Class A champs Okarche last year. Expect a bigger role and more threes this year.

Beltz closed out 5 on 5 play for the 2029s with a sizzling shooting performance. Nailed pull up threes and 15-18 footers with ease. Especially as he has quality handles to creates space to get off his shot. Impressively for a ball dominant guard, he had signs of being a savvy off the ball shooters as well. One time, he got off the ball and quickly relocated for a spot up opportunity, that he nailed. And hit a three as a trailer in transition.
