We wrap up our preview of the CHSAA New York AA section. St. Peter's will boast a young not yet tested roster due to graduations and a transfer. Scanlan will also be young but a confident bunch with a lot of talent. It will be interesting to see how quickly these two teams respond to the game after game battles they will have.

St Peter's will be depending on returning seniors on a nightly basis. Not a lot of size but they will use a lot of different lineups to keep opponents guessing. Nico Parlanti is a returning senior that has experience. He is a 6”3 2026 tough athletic active player. He has shown the ability to finish in traffic.
Dennis Corson is an extremely quick PG. At 5”8 2026 senior has a really nice handle. He has shown an assortment of floaters in the lane. He defends really well with his quickness using his hands and feet to pressure the ball.

Aaron Vasquez at 6”3 might be asked to play inside. He is a 2027 who is strong and plays a physical game. Plays bigger then 6”3. Very good in the paint scoring with either hand. Very good post defender.

Adam Djonbalic is 6”2 2026 who will be called upon to knock down jumpers. He has shown the ability to do that from beyond the arc or in the mid range. Has good court vision and awareness.

Scanlan also got hurt in the transfer window. But they do have seniors coming back.

[player_tooltip player_id='2207303' first='Johansel' last='Cruz'] is a shifty 5”7 2026 pg. he does not get sped up or flustered. Very confident with the ball. High basketball IQ.

Two seniors I am interested in seeing are Issa Sawadogo a2026 6”5 strong and long player. He can defend multiple positions. Really good reading and reacting to rebounds on both ends.
[player_tooltip player_id='1543497' first='Javan' last='Webb'] another 6”5 senior who plays above the rim. Combines good size with a nice handle. A shot maker. A rim runner. Versatile scorer on one end and a shot blocker on the other.

Akeem McLaren at 6”1 the senior can shoot it from beyond the arc. Has deep range. Very creative getting scoring chances for himself or teammates.

[player_tooltip player_id='2617756' first='Anthony' last='Venzen'] class of 2027. At 6”3he is very good in transition. Defends really well. Might have the highest ceiling of all on the Scanlan roster. Player to watch.
