In this five-part series, I'll highlight several standout performers from the event -- athletes who not only made a strong impression but are poised to carry that momentum into the upcoming winter season.

Wilborn delivered an impressive all-around performance in Oklahoma City, demonstrating good poise and control while handling the ball under pressure. He consistently maintained composure, navigating tight coverage, which allowed him to effectively initiate offense and set the tempo. One of the standout aspects of his game was his ability to create his own shot in a variety of situations. Whether working off the dribble or using changes in speed and direction, Wilborn showed a knack for generating scoring opportunities without relying on set plays or ball screens. Scyon also showed efficient shooting from the perimeter, knocking down jumpers with confidence and consistency. His threat as a shooter not only spaced the floor but also opened up driving lanes, as defenders were forced to close out hard on his shot attempts. He took full advantage of these situations, using pump fakes, quick first steps, and smart decision-making to attack closeouts and finish at the rim or draw help defense. Wilborn's effectiveness in isolation situations was another highlight of his game. He displayed a calm, fluid approach -- using hesitation moves, crossovers, and a varied offensive package to keep defenders off balance. His ability to read the defense and react instinctively made him difficult to contain one-on-one, often forcing help rotations and creating opportunities for teammates.

[player_tooltip player_id='2408270' first='Owen' last='Wright'] | 6'7" Forward | Newcastle | i4 Basketball

Wright is a highly skilled forward who combines impressive size, strength, and versatility. Offensively, he had a strong weekend, showcasing the ability to stretch the floor with consistent perimeter shooting. His shooting range forced defenders to respect him beyond the arc, creating spacing advantages for himself and teammates. In addition to his outside touch, Wright was equally effective operating in the post and mid-range areas, using his physicality and footwork to score inside when the opportunity called for it. Defensively and on the boards, Wright brought intensity and a high motor. He was aggressive in pursuing rebounds on both ends of the floor, frequently securing offensive rebounds that led to second-chance opportunities and extending possessions. On the defensive glass, he did a strong job of boxing out and finishing plays, helping to close out defensive stops efficiently.

[player_tooltip player_id='2381835' first='TJ' last='Newton'] | 6'4" Guard | Edmond Santa Fe | i4 Basketball

TJ has built significant momentum over the summer, and his strong play continued at the ProSpecs Camp, where he further solidified himself as a strong performer in the 2028 class. He played with a calm, composed demeanor, demonstrating excellent control and decision-making while operating with the ball in his hands. His smooth handle and efficient pacing allowed him to navigate the floor while consistently keeping the offense organized and flowing. Offensively, Newton was particularly impressive as a perimeter shooter. He knocked down multiple deep three-pointers with ease, showcasing a clean, fluid shooting stroke and a quick release. His range forced defenders to stretch out to contest, opening up space for others and giving his team an added dimension on offense. Defensively, Newton's performance was equally impactful. His lateral quickness and disciplined footwork allowed him to stay in front of ball handlers, while his length was a clear asset -- both in one-on-one matchups and in the passing lanes. He disrupted offensive flow by using his wingspan to contest shots, deflect passes, and create transition opportunities.

[player_tooltip player_id='2638586' first='Kadon' last='Gaines'] | 6'7" Forward | Woodward | Legynds

Gaines, a true stretch forward, delivered a strong and well-rounded performance, blending skill, efficiency, and unselfish play throughout the day. He consistently made smart decisions within the flow of the offense, showing a willingness to move the ball and create opportunities for others while still asserting himself as a scoring threat. Offensively, Gaines was efficient, particularly from beyond the arc. His smooth shooting mechanics and quick release made him a perimeter threat, forcing defenders to extend out and respect his range. In addition to his spot-up shooting, he showcased his versatility by facing up and attacking off the dribble. His ability to put the ball on the floor and get into the paint added another layer to his offensive game, making him difficult to guard in one-on-one situations. Defensively, Gaines used his length and mobility to make a significant impact. He showed the ability to switch and defend multiple positions effectively, using his wingspan to contest shots and disrupt passing lanes. He also rebounded well, especially in traffic, securing tough rebounds in crowded situations and helping to end possessions.

[player_tooltip player_id='2872146' first='Braelon' last='Robinson'] | 6'1" Guard | Norman | Southern Assault Texoma

One of the youngest and more underrated prospects in attendance, [player_tooltip player_id='2872146' first='Braelon' last='Robinson'] made a strong impression with his mature, well-rounded performance. Despite his age, he played with confidence, adapting seamlessly to various game situations and showing a high basketball IQ throughout camp. Robinson stood out in transition, where his unselfishness and court vision were on display. He consistently made the right reads, delivering precise passes and timely lobs that set up teammates for easy scoring opportunities. His ability to make advanced decisions on the move elevated the pace of play and showcased his instincts as a playmaker. As a scorer, Robinson was equally effective. He shot the ball confidently from three-point range, connecting on both catch-and-shoot opportunities and off-the-dribble attempts. His smooth shooting mechanics and ability to create space allowed him to keep defenders honest and contribute efficiently from the perimeter. Physically, Robinson also showed that he could hold his own on the defensive end of the floor -- cutting off drives and even blocking shots.
