Healey, a forward out of Scituate High School in Rhode Island, appears on the Watch List for the second time in this update. Healey has terrific size for a freshman and, at 6’5″, plays with a lot of versatility, particularly on the offensive end of the floor. Defensively, his length is an asset both in passing lanes and around the rim, where he uses his athleticism to block or alter a lot of shots. On the other end, he can clean up on the offensive glass and has proven to be an efficient scorer on the interior. What stands out most is his feel for the game with the ball in his hands on the perimeter and his ability to get downhill and make athletic plays around the rim.

Healey is an incredibly intriguing long-term prospect who should make waves this season for Scituate High School. The 6-foot-5 forward is obviously only a freshman, but his size alone will allow him to get lots of rebounds and impact lots of shots on the defensive end, especially at the MIAA division 2 level. He has solid athleticism for his size (he gets above the rim for easy dunks) and he also has some verve and feel to the way he handles the rock. Healey’s skills on the perimeter and craft near the rim are going to make a big impact this season and he’s going to be a highly sought after reclass candidate. Exciting young player.

Healey, a freshman forward out of Scituate High School, has some two-way versatility to his game and a high ceiling thanks to his frame and athleticism. He’s not afraid of contact, can finish plays above the rim, and is a tough downhill driver. Defensively, he can guard on the perimeter or in the paint, shows plus lateral mobility, and does a nice job as both a rebounder and rim protector in the half-court.
