Gets out in transition with his quickness and can also knock down a 12-15 foot jumper. Worth a look at the D3 and NAIA levels.
Day talked about his role on the team this year.
“Usually pass first but with Obi (Church) and the rest of the guys from last year gone I am trying to adjust to being more of a scorer. It is kind of hard right now. I am trying to find ways to get myself going. I have to keep working on being a scorer.”
How would he describe his game?
“I would say a playmaker. Going forward I am going to have to do more scoring and distributing for us to be successful not just one or the other.”
He has early interest from a few colleges.
“I have been to Benedictine. I am looking at Rockhurst in Kansas City. Also Coe College in Iowa.”
Day discussed his visit to Benedictine and what stood out there.
“It was pretty good. Coach felt like I can come in and play right away if I put on a little more weight. I liked it and the guys were cool. Nice campus.”
What will he be looking for in a program?
“Just somewhere I feel the coach wants to develop me as a player and where I can get a good education.”
