SG Jacob Keller (Fenwick _ 2017)
Keller is a left handed combo guard that does a little bit of everything and is always around the basketball. At 6’2” Keller is quick off the bounce getting in the lane with his long strides. Loves to use the euro step in the paint to finish. Takes and makes high percentage shots. Plus rebounder for a guard that hits the glass on both ends effectively. Good help defender that has active hands getting deflections and steals. Keller had 18 points (7-7 FG), 9 rebounds, and 3 assists. Stock riser that is worth consideration at the mid-major level.
SF Jared Scott (Oak Park River Forest _ 2017)
Scott is a 6’5” big bodied left handed small forward with solid length. He showed quite a bit of perimeter skill attacking with ease off the bounce. Used a jab step to set up strong takes to the hoop. Also hit a three. Scott is effective using his quickness around the hoop to finish through multiple defenders and shoot a high percentage on the interior. Quality rebounder for position. Very good night for the junior. He had 16 points and 5 rebounds.
SG Jon Arenas (Maine South _ 2016)
Arenas is a 6’3” senior shooting guard that likes to get in the lane. He is thin, but not afraid to get in the paint where he finishes with runners and athleticism at the hoop. Solid quickness off the dribble and slippery through traffic. Pure scorer that excels at attacking off the bounce. Potential on shot. Went for 16 points in win. Projects as a quality D3/NAIA prospect.
PG Andre White (Loyola _ 2019)
This was my first look at the 2019 point guard. White is a quick and shifty 5’8” lead guard with a high basketball IQ. Quality understanding of the game. Moves the ball on the perimeter. On Friday night he was asked to score. He consistently got in the lane where he put up some quality shots in the paint that just didn’t fall. White shoots it well from the perimeter going 3-6 from behind the arc. Speed in the open floor and is tough! White had 13 points, 3 rebounds, and 2 dimes.
SF Austin Richie (Marian Catholic _ 2017)
Richie is off to a solid start this season. He is a 6’5” small forward that has a physical body. He is effective as a catch and shoot guy from deep. Needs to continue to improve overall athleticism and explosion for the next level, but will flash a baseline drive off bounce every now and then. Quality rebounder and this kid is tough! Worth monitoring for D2 schools early.
C MJ Cage (Mater Dei, CA _ 2016)
Cage is a 6’10” long and rangy post that runs the floor extremely well. He is so smooth getting up and down the floor for his size. Finishes with athleticism around the hoop and hits the offensive glass for put backs. Not really a drop the ball in the post with back to basket guy at this stage, but there is a lot of upside here. Solid rebounder that also protects the rim with his length. He had 15 points. Committed to Oregon.
