Unsigned Senior Watch List: Part 1
Holly Springs Guard Erik Alvery : Our first time seeing him came during the Christmas break at a Pinecrest High School tournament , he had a solid first half but really stepped it up in the 2nd half. He’s a very athletic player that can shoot the ball from deep and has a physique that looks as if he is already in college, he’s averaging 13 points & 7 rebounds per game.
Ocracoke HS Guard Liam Caswell: He is one of the leading scorers in the state at 26 Point per game and continues to get better each and every game. At 6’3 with good quickness and bounce, we expect his game to translate to the next level very smoothly , he can defend PG’s and SG’s well, will be a nice D2 pickup and a steal at the NAIA level.
Westover HS Forward Jalin Thorne: Jalin is one of the more skilled forwards that is still unsigned in the 2018 class, he’s 6’8 with the ability to stretch a defense by knocking down outside shots. His coachability is very high and he has played in a program throughout his high school years that has prepared him for the next level.
Grace Christian Guard Messiah Pankney: There hasn’t been many people talking about what he has been doing but he has put together a very impressive season up to this point. Just taking a quick glance at his numbers and you can see what he’s capable of , 21 points, 6 assists and 7 rebounds per game, he is a player that could also be a nice D2 pickup or a steal for a D3/NAIA or JC.
Crossroads Christian Forward Zaire Edwards: He has put together a tremendous senior season and colleges have taken notice, schools such as: Peace University, Wesleyan Christian, Fayetteville Tech, and many others have begun to recruit him. For the season he is averaging 19 points and 7 rebounds a night, add that in with his height at 6’5 and you have a player that colleges definitely should be on.
