Lanier is probably one of the more under-the-radar scorers in the class. As a freshman last season, the 6-foot-3 shooting guard played JV due to a major logjam of talented players on the varsity level but I’m of the belief he will carve out a role on varsity this season. Lanier has an advanced scoring arsenal complete with shot-making ability from all three levels of the floor. Lanier isn’t the quickest or fastest prospect but he uses deceptive change of speed and hesitations to get defenders off-balance which allows him to get into a rhythm pull-up jumper.
