Maybe the best shooter I've seen all weekend, Roux was money from long distance on Friday with some lubricious shot making. Not only was Roux knocking down spot-up 3-pointers but he was running off screens, moving without the ball, turning in mid-air to set himself up to shoot, it was a clinic on how to create shots as a limited athlete off the ball. With picture-perfect form and a repeatable release that even when the shot misses still looks on line, Roux could probably teach form shooting to his peers that are also playing this weekend in Rock Hill.

Team Loaded advanced to the 17 U quarterfinals thanks to a gritty defensive performance that saw Meeks make some timely plays offensively to pull away from Wildcat Select. Late in the game Meeks had a lot of juice left in the tank and was creating off the dribble to get to the rim and finish. I was really impressed with Meeks strength and craft at the rim, scoring over much taller players in the paint. Just a flat out gamer, Meeks was ready for the moment and helped his team move on.

Another Team Loaded squad continuing to win and move on, their 15 U group is stacked with talented prospects. Laver is a forward who is vertically explosive, can knock down an open shot and moved without the ball to get open looks. The physical gap up and down the roster between Team Loaded and the competition at the 15 U level is sharp as Laver is one of a few physically advanced players for this age group.

Zachary went on a heater for Indiana Elite as they advanced to the quarterfinals in dominant fashion. Zachary knocked down numerous 3-pointers with a few coming from NBA range. An ultimate competitor as well, Zachary is an elite perimeter defender. With recent offers to Ball State, Toledo and Nevada, Zachary has already proven himself to be a priority for mid major programs.

I caught Team Indiana in the middle of the day and left really impressed with Lawson. A smooth lefty on the wing, Lawson knocked down a handful of 3-pointers including one four point play. A natural athlete as well, Lawson is a talented wide receiver in football and that athleticism translates to the hardwood. Lawson also made a couple nice passes in traffic to find open teammates for shots as Team Indiana got a 12 point win after falling by 1 and 2 points on Wednesday and Thursday.
