It's June! The Scholastic Period has begun, meaning prospects across the Palmetto State are back with their High School programs for the next 30 days competing in various camps and events. This weekend I was in North Augusta, South Carolina for the annual South Carolina Basketball Coaches Association Live Team Camp. Over 100 SCHSL Schools were in attendance, playing in front of College Coaches. These seven players are rising Freshmen and 8th Graders who played well this weekend and have bright futures. Check them out:

[player_tooltip player_id='2816511' first='Khiry' last='White'] (Irmo) - First up on my list of Names for the Future from the SCBCA Live Event is [player_tooltip player_id='2816511' first='Khiry' last='White']. He came off the bench and showcased his ability to defend and score in the paint against Irmo on Friday. White was both mobile and instinctual defensively while guarding multiple positions. He also was productive on the offensive glass, finished around bodies, and used a power dribble to go up strong.

[player_tooltip player_id='2425417' first='Grant' last='Pursley'] (Northwestern) - Pursley looks like he could be one of the best shooters in South Carolina's 2029 Class. He led the Trojans in scoring as an 8th Grader last season and had a nice performance against West Ashley on Saturday in North Augusta. Grant connected on a right-corner three, a right-wing three, and a mid-range jump shot while also making some nice passes on drives.

[player_tooltip player_id='2887698' first='Xavier' last='Harding'] (Newberry) - Xavier had a really good game running the show for Newberry in their win over West Florence. Harding is a true PG who is strong with the ball, can handle in tight spaces, sees the floor well, and can finish in the paint. He also applies ball pressure and has active hands defensively.

[player_tooltip player_id='2887707' first='Ty' last='Young'] (Christ Church) - [player_tooltip player_id='2887707' first='Ty' last='Young'] was impressive off the bench in Christ Church's matchup with Clover. Ty converted on a floater and a left-corner three, while also stripping the ball from an opponent leading to a transition bucket. Young can also handle the ball in spots and has good positional size for his age.

[player_tooltip player_id='2466396' first='Jordan' last='Jackson'] (Green Charter Upstate) - Jackson was a bright spot in Green's loss to HKT on Saturday. Despite his age, Jordan looked composed with the ball in his hands and made good decisions. He reads the floor well, sets up his teammates in good positions, and can score himself inside and out.

[player_tooltip player_id='2566637' first='Malik' last='White'] (CA Johnson) - From a physical standpoint, Malik is one of the most intriguing prospects that the state has to offer right now. He is listed at 6'3" as a 13-year-old and is well-built to go with it. White will get the chance to make an impact defensively this year, and. he had 2 steals and a few more deflections in a brief stint against Powdersville.

[player_tooltip player_id='2887713' first='Brycen' last='Frazier'] (Stratford) - Rounding out the list of Names for the Future from SCBCA Live is Stratford's [player_tooltip player_id='2887713' first='Brycen' last='Frazier']. He was a pleasant surprise on Friday Night, ending the day with a 3-5 3FG game in a win over BHP. Apart from the efficient shooting which will earn him minutes from the jump, Frazier also displayed a nice handle and moved his feet well on the defensive end.
