Xavier makes it back-to-back Newberry Bulldogs on the list. Harding is a regular to the Film Room, and this year he put up his freshman season highlights for review. He was already a key player for Newberry as a freshman, so I’m excited to see the leap he will take as a sophomore. His stocky frame helped him play through contact on both ends of the floor, so now, with another year to learn the offense and get more comfortable making plays for others, he could be one of the better young Point Guards in Class 2A.

Harding is a 2029 Point Guard who is a consistent presence every time he steps on the floor. He adjusts well to a slower, more physical brand of basketball because of a strong frame and good feel around bodies. When he’s not running the offense and setting others up, he brings intensity on the defensive end of the floor and is one of the better on-ball defenders in his class.

Xavier is a lefty Point Guard who I was high on going back to last summer with Newberry High School and Upward Stars Columbia 14U. He consistently impressed with his two-way playmaking, creating good looks for himself and others while also preventing them on the other end. The Bulldogs had a talented class of seniors depart this season, but Harding should have them excited for what is in store for the future.
