Tuesday night Green turned the Donofrio Classic quarterfinal game into his own shooting clinic. The lefty sharpshooter from Archbishop Wood popped 8 threes on his way to 28 points. Green dialed up transition threes as well as spot ups from the top of the key and the corner. His deep range and ability to shoot over taller defenders was remarkable. Still, the most impressive part of Green's shooting display was his ability to execute a head / ball fake, followed by a side in dribble into space for a clean look. Green also flashed solid open court passing skills.

This week at the Donofrio Classic, McKoy further solidified his reputation as one of the most versatile “big guards” in the region as he stuffed the stat book for 18 points and 10 rebounds. The trifecta of McKoy's size, speed and scoring skills enabled him to thrive in the up-tempo play at the Donofrio. McKoy (21.5 ppg. this season; 1st Team All-Berks County Conference) presented serious match-up issues as he used his size to score over guards and his quick burst to blow past bigs. His three-level scoring combined with his rebounding, passing and defense enabled McKoy to dominate the action on Monday night.

The court at the Fellowship House is not a full 94-feet long. Thus, a long-distance sniper like Nguyen is “in-range” the moment he steps over half-court. That fact combined with Nguyen's quick release and textbook mechanics produced 6 made threes on Monday night for the former Spring Ford star. He also drained pull ups off the bounce. Plus, Nguyen scored a few buckets on the fast break. When the final horn sounded, Nguyen had totaled 27 points. Nguyen displayed solid athleticism too. This 1st Team All-PAC selection recently committed to Jefferson University (D2).

On Monday night, Smith was absolutely cooking defenders off the dribble. He used a variety of change of direction moves to get into the painted rea for lay-ins and floaters. He finished several of his attacks on the rim with beautiful kisses of the glass. Additionally, Smith used his deep bag off moves to set up step-backs and fade aways in the mid-range as well as from behind the arc. Of course, Smith also generated points in the open court. His menacing on-ball defense produced most of those fast break opportunities. When the final horn sounded, Smith had assembled an explosive 40-point (4 triples) performance.
