The Colgate commit is looking to finish his Berks Catholic career on a high note. He should be one of the best guards in all of central Pennsylvania. I would assume that he repeats as Berks County player of the year. McKoy averaged 21.5 points as a junior.

After winning the District 3 4A championship a season ago, McKoy led a talented Berks Catholic team all the way to the state championship, where they fell to Devon Prep. The Colgate commit will look to lead his team back to the big game in hopes of a golden state medal. McKoy is a pesky defender who finds his way into passing lanes and can score in a flash in transition. Expect a third all-state selection for Kingston in his senior year.

At Philly HS Live Session I, McKoy again proved that he is a three-level scoring “big guard” who will have an immediate impact at the next level. Yesterday McKoy added an offer from American University to his pile.

McKoy figures to be among the hottest names across the entirety of the Philly Live field, as a host of programs across all levels of D1 have plans to get eyes on the emerging floor general in his high school setting after his spring breakout on the EYBL circuit. Fully healed from an injury that cost him the bulk of his sophomore year and rising junior summer, McKoy has drawn rave reviews with his play as a pure lead guard with a keen sense of when to score and when to facilitate based on what the situation calls for. He has solid positional size, shows comfort both getting downhill and knocking down shots from the perimeter, and often takes on the toughest perimeter assignment on the defensive end. Low-major offers have begun filing in with programs up to the high-major level keeping tabs on McKoy over the next several weeks.

McKoy posted a monster 2024-25 high school season — 21.5 points per game and 1st Team All-Berks County Conference. Thus, it should not be a surprise that this three-level scoring “big guard” destroyed the competition on the spring grassroots circuit. College coaches have noticed how well McKoy played over the last six months too, as Loyola (MD) just sent him an offer.

McKoy was just starting to break out on the recruiting scene when an injury cost him the bulk of his sophomore season and subsequent 16U summer. He clearly had his legs back under him by the time the season rolled around, but it’s taken until the spring for him to really prove himself, at least in the manner he’s done by consistently contributing to winning against the nation’s best on the EYBL circuit. Coming off the bench for a strong Team Final group, McKoy has been rock-solid as a floor general with flashes of brilliance making plays off the bounce when needed. His IQ and positional size have him being watched closely by a slew of low and mid major D1s heading into the summer live periods.

This week at the Donofrio Classic, McKoy further solidified his reputation as one of the most versatile “big guards” in the region as he stuffed the stat book for 18 points and 10 rebounds. The trifecta of McKoy’s size, speed and scoring skills enabled him to thrive in the up-tempo play at the Donofrio. McKoy (21.5 ppg. this season; 1st Team All-Berks County Conference) presented serious match-up issues as he used his size to score over guards and his quick burst to blow past bigs. His three-level scoring combined with his rebounding, passing and defense enabled McKoy to dominate the action on Monday night.

This do-it-all guard prospect did his best to carry Berks Catholic to victory in this game, but in the end, his 16 points and 12 rebounds double double was not enough. In the loss, McKoy drained two threes and scored off the bounce repeatedly. McKoy also produced points and distributed in transition. Devon Prep played a physical style of defense on McKoy and when he put the ball on the floor, DP doubled him. He handled the physicality and double teams with poise. He never allowed DP’s tenacious defense to speed him up. McKoy’s length and non-stop motor enabled him to snare tough rebounds all night. This season McKoy proved to be one of the most talented 2026 guards in SEPA. We are expecting a monster spring / summer grassroots circuit from McKoy.

Despite battling foul trouble throughout the first half, McKoy turned in yet another stock rising post season performance. Across BC’s three game run to the 4A semifinals, McKoy is averaged 23 points per night. During BC’s semifinal win, McKoy hit for just above that average as he scored 24 points. This versatile, high IQ guard pushed the rock on the fast break for scores and assists. In the half-court, Mckoy splashed jumpers (1 three) and blew past defenders off the dribble. McKoy’s ability to defeat double teams by maintaining his dribble until he fond open court space or by quickly moving the ball to an open teammate was impressive.
