Harper scored a season high 17 points (3 threes) during Berks Catholic’s 4A quarterfinal win as well as 13 points (3 triples) in the semifinals. Last night Devon Prep dedicated extra attention to Harper when he had the rock behind the arc. Thus, Harper (9 pts.) put the ball on the deck and got into the painted area for a couple of tough finishes. Harper also displayed a high IQ and precise passing skills. The 4A state tournament was an impressive stretch of play for this freshman.

Harper scored a season high17 points (3 threes) during Berks Catholic’s 4A quarterfinal win, so it should not be a surprise that he was a clutch performer again in the 4A semis. In Berks Catholic’s defeat of North Catholic, Harper notched 13 points. Harper’s long-distance shooting was clicking once again as he drained 2 threes. He also popped a mid-range jumper or two. His 6-point outburst in the 4th quarter helped BC put this game out of reach. Harper also proved that he is a high IQ 2028 prospect who plays with composure in the biggest of games.

Harper showed great poise throughout the game and never seemed to get fazed by the moment. He hit three timely three 3 pointers in the 3rd quarter for his Berks Catholic (PA) squad. He also found the bucket inside the three point line also. He is a sneaky athlete who can show off his physical tools on the defensive end. Harper also showed that he could find teammates for scoring chances of their own. He had a knack for hunting for his own shot. Harper finished with 17 points.

Harper is a multi-skilled guard prospect who caught fire in the District 3-4A tournament. During the regular season, Harper averaged 6 points per night, but across Berk’s run to the D3-4A title, he increased his output to 10 ppg. Included in his stellar post season stretch was a season high 15-point effort (3 3PM) in a win over Bishop McDevitt. Harper can generate points at every level. He excels at blowing past defenders with the dribble on the fast break as well as in the half-court. His jumper is highly accurate in the mid-range and from behind the 3-point line. Harper is a polished pick-n-roll ball handler too.

For a 2028 prospect, Harper has displayed a polished 3-level scoring skill set. His jumper possesses textbook mechanics as well as a quick releases and range well beyond the arc. Harper also excels at blowing past his defender off the dribble and then hitting pull ups, floaters, and runners. This season Harper is averaging 7 points per contest and has recorded six games of 9 points or more. He posted a season high 11 pointsduring a win over Wilson.

Harper first made headlines this past summer at the West Reading League where he posted several 20+ point games. Then during September and October he was a frequent standout at the Comp Edge Fall League. Harper is a bucket getting point guard with a high IQ. He can produce points off the dribble by getting to the rim and finishing with either hand. He can knock home threes from logo distance too. Harper also has a habit of picking opponent’s pockets and then racing down court for a lay-up. As a nice bonus to his scoring, Harper flashed the ability to direct half-court sets and is a creative passer.
