The Sharpshooter
Brooks Haddock 2018 Muskogee Guard was on fire from the perimeter today. He shot the ball very well coming off the bench for the Roughers. He showed he could shoot the ball from NBA range as he nailed two 25-footers. Haddock had good form and was the best shooter on the court. He finished the game with four treys and tied CJ Parks for a game-high 12 points. If Muskogee is looking to make a run in the playoffs this season, they will need Haddock to have some big games from the perimeter.
A Walk in the Park
CJ Parks 2018 Muskogee Forward was the best player on the court today as Muskogee defeated Southeast. Parks has good size and used his length today on the defensive end. He is a raw player on the offensive side of the ball showing signs of being really good. If he can become more consistent and productive on the offensive side of the ball Muskogee will be a very dangerous team. Parks finished the game with a tied game high of 12 points.
The Future
Brayden Haddock 2020 Muskogee Forward is definitely part of the future plans of Muskogee basketball. The younger Haddock got significant minutes tonight as Muskogee dominated the game and Parks was in foul trouble. Haddock has good size and gives Muskogee depth off the bench. If he keeps performing at the level he did tonight, Haddock will see his minutes considerably increase. He finished with 8 points. Haddock will be a fun player to watch develop over the next couple of years for the Roughers.
Spreading the Love
Muskogee did not have a dominant player performance in the semi-final matchup. Instead they spread the ball around with a good team performance. They finished the game with three players in double figures and a couple of players with eight and nine points respectively. Muskogee played unselfishly throughout the night. They moved the ball well and got open baskets because of it. The Roughers will be hard to beat if they play as well together as they did against Southeast.
The Allen Wrench
Although Southeast struggled on the night, Dionte Allen 2019 Southeast Guard played well for a struggling Southeast team. Allen played good defense throughout the night and his effort never slipped despite the score. He distributed the ball well and set up his teammates with open shots throughout the night.
