LaBouliere was one of the prospects who really turned our heads this summer with 7070 Athletics
, and we’re looking forward to seeing how that development carries into the season. When we first saw him, he was somewhat of an unknown, but it didn’t take long for him to make his presence felt. He’s an athletic, physical prospect who can create off the dribble, get downhill and finish through contact. We liked how he used his handle to set up defenders this summer and attacked gaps while making plays without needing everything designed for him. He also showed an impressive willingness to rebound outside his area, make timely passes and create turnovers with active hands defensively. Those are the types of contributions that can translate immediately and could get him some extended varsity run. Now we’re looking for LaBouliere to become more polished, consistent and confident in his decision-making. The versatility and toughness are already there, and another year of development could make him an important piece for Palmer Ridge.
Labouliere put together an impressive weekend with 7070, showcasing his ability to impact the game in a variety of ways. He flashed his athleticism and skill every time he touched the ball, attacking off the dribble with confidence and getting downhill to the basket. His strength allowed him to finish through contact, making him a difficult matchup when he gained momentum. Defensively Labouliere was just as effective, using active hands and anticipation to come up with timely steals that ignited transition opportunities. His versatility, toughness and ability to create plays on both ends made him one of 7070’s standout performers throughout the tournament

who we did not know about heading into the event, but he made a ton of plays that let you know that he’s a player who can progress and turn into a special player. He has a solid ball handler, where he was freeing himself up with a set-up dribble and getting all the way to the basket. He was attacking downhill, grabbing rebounds out of his area, and just doing everything that the team needed. He had a couple of passes to teammates for easy baskets, which showed an understanding of playmaking, and he was good at manipulating the defense. He’s a player who we certainly want to see more of, and he turned heads for us this weekend.
Labouliere put together a gritty, high motor performance that made a real impact for his team. He played with strength and toughness, consistently going up strong in traffic and pulling down key rebounds on both ends of the floor. Offensively, he set effective screens that freed up his teammates and kept the offense flowing smoothly. Whether it was battling inside for position, diving for loose balls, or making the extra pass, Labouliere was constantly involved in making smart plays. His physicality and hustle set the tone for his team, showing he’s the kind of player who does all the little things that helps everyone succeed
