Tomorrow, February 15, is also known as Total Defense Day. While the intended meaning is obviously different, it seems like a great day to highlight some top defensive players.

I've often written about Underwood's offensive versatility, and I'll continue to do so, but the same applies on the other end of the floor. He's strong enough to defend bigs on the block, but can also step out and get stops on the perimeter. Underwood can basically defend any part of the floor.

No dibble is safe around [player_tooltip player_id='1974621' first='Kaelin' last='Tate']. If you're a ball handler and you over dribble or don't protect the ball, Tate is liable to eat you up. He can get swipes by the bunches and can turn defense into offense in a hurry. The more pressure he can apply, the more downhill he can get.

Sometimes elite defenders just want it more. That sounds like an accurate description of Geerdes. He's an energy and hustle defender that will want, and expect to, outwork his man. Geerdes is a strong guard that can play a physical brand of defense on the perimeter.

Adams can be a terror for opposing guards. He's a quick defender that does a nice job forcing pace from the offense, to the point that it's uncomfortable and forces mistakes. Adams' hand are just as quick as hit feet when he's playing D.

I'm really excited about Morrish as a player and prospect right now. The last time I wrote about him, it mostly had to do with his offensive game, but the defensive skill set is there too. Morrish has good defensive feet and he has the length to cause issues in the passing lanes.
