Two of the better players in the in-state 2025 are back on the board after decommitting from Central Michigan and they are Truesdale twins from Bishop Luers. For this week, we are going to feature both of them but let's start with Drelyn. This season thus far, Drelyn is the leader in points and assists for the Knights with 14.4 points and 4.4 assists.

As mentioned above, both of the Truesdale twins are back on the board and are available for D1 schools at all levels to go after. We already highlighted his broth Drelyn so let's focus on Dereon now. This season for the Knights, Dereon is averaging 12.3 points and leading the team in rebounding with 6.4 points and shooting 52% from the field. You can watch both these twins this week vs Churubusco (1/7), at Concordia (1/10), and at Canterbury (1/11).

There may not be a better player in the southern Indiana area at this point in time than Silver Creek wing [player_tooltip player_id='1385611' first='Kasen' last='Daeger']. The junior wing is averaging a very impressive 18.8 points per game this season far. Daeger has established himself as one of the best shotmakers in the in the in-state 2026 class due to his ability to score quickly at all three levels. You can watch him this week when the Dragons face Eastern (Perkin) on Friday.

3 Teams

Ben Davis (4A) – Another year and another season of the Giants doing what they do best, win games. This year, the wins that the Giants have put together thus far is a little bit more impressive with them not having Notre Dame football commit [player_tooltip player_id='1373105' first='Mark' last='Zackery'] in uniform yet. It's been a collective group of guys like rising junior Jashawn Ladd, [player_tooltip player_id='1749499' first='Tavion' last='Williams'], [player_tooltip player_id='2277726' first='Jahmir' last='Avery'], [player_tooltip player_id='2050030' first='Kaleb' last='Milan'], and others that have stepped up and gotten Ben Davis 8 wins. The Giants could be a team that once again finds themselves in Indianapolis in March. Ben Davis is at North Central on Friday and then hosts George Washington on Saturday.

Linton (2A) – The Linton Miners continue to lay claim as one of the more consistent teams in all of Class 2A. Sitting at 8-1 right now, Linton has been getting some impressive wins over the likes of Rock Creek, Parke Heritage, West Vigo, and others. For the Miners, it all starts with junior power forward [player_tooltip player_id='1560992' first='Paul' last='Oliver'] who is having a breakout season individually. Linton will look to keep rolling when they host Vincennes Rivet on Tuesday and then travel to Evansville Christina on Friday.

Carroll-Flora (1A) – Do not be shocked to see Carroll-Flora be a team that could make it to Indianapolis this March. The Cougars have been one of the best teams in all of Class 1A and sit at the very point in the season with a really good 7-1 record and nearly beat Tipton last week in a really good game. They certainly look like a team that will win Sectional 54. The cougars have a trip to Delphi on Friday.

Crispus Attucks (3A) at Gary 21st (2A), January 11th, 2:30 pm

This weekend, we have a battle of arguably the favorite team to win Class 3A vs the team that is arguably the favorite to win Class 2A. The Crispus Attucks Tigers will make the trip up to Gary Indiana to face the Cougars in a big time showdown. For this game, it will be a battle of the backcourt with Attucks senior guard [player_tooltip player_id='1297004' first='Chris' last='Hurt'] going up against Gary 21st junior guard [player_tooltip player_id='1561080' first='Terrence' last='Hayes']. If Iowa signee and senior forward [player_tooltip player_id='1297019' first='Dezmon' last='Briscoe'] was playing, that would be a huge advantage for Attucks but that is still unlikely. Regardless, I like Attucks to get a big road win.

Westfield (4A) at Mount Vernon (Fortville)(4A), January 7th, 7:30 pm

In the central Indiana area, we have a really fun matchup between two Class 4A teams that are looking to build some momentum. Westfield makes the short trip over to meet Purdue commit [player_tooltip player_id='1728587' first='Luke' last='Ertel'] and Mount Vernon (Fortville). Both of these teams only have one loss on the year and have been playing some really good basketball. Westfield also has a junior guard named [player_tooltip player_id='1988138' first='Drew' last='Haffner'] who has been tearing it up this season. This one is really tough to call, but go ahead and give me Mount Vernon but this one could go either way.

Jennings County (3A) at Brownstown-Central (2A), January 10th, 7:30 pm

Heading down to Southern Indiana, we got a really fun one on tap this Friday between Jennings County and Brownstown-Central. Senior guard [player_tooltip player_id='1296996' first='Carter' last='Kent'] will be looking to take the Panthers on the road to get a win over the defending Class 2A Champions Brownstown. The key here will be how Jennings County will handle the senior duo of [player_tooltip player_id='1297005' first='Colby' last='Hall'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1296999' first='Chace' last='Coomer']. This is going to be battle but at this point in time, I think Brownstown is the better team on paper. Give me the Braves.
