It was apparent from the opening tip that Coomer was fighting through some sort of a lower leg issue and it appeared to flare up early in the fourth quarter as he hobbled out of the game. It wasn’t a typical game for the highly sought after unsigned senior guard, but we know that Coomer’s positional size, fluid athleticism, and shot-making ability make him a valuable prospect at the next level.

Don’t look now, but the defending Class 2A state champions are making their presence known in Class 3A. Brownstown Central is now 11-0 after dominating Silver Creek 67-49 on Friday. Unsigned senior guard Chace Coomer Chace Coomer 6'5" | SG Brownstown Central | 2025 State IN led the way with 23 points in that game. He is having an excellent season for the Braves.

There is a lot to like about Coomer’s game. The 6’5″ guard has obvious positional size on the perimeter while maintaining some very intriguing athleticism. He is a bouncy jump shooter with a smooth stroke out beyond the three-point line. Currently holding offers from schools such as Culver-Stockton, Goshen, and IU-South Bend, this Brownstown Central senior could play his way into more opportunities during the high school season. Coomer went from #64 to #53 in this rankings update.

There were few pure scorers in the gym on Friday night at IU-Indianapolis as talented as this Brownstown Central High School product. Coomer proved while he is highly sought after at the small college level with his ability to put the ball in the basket from the perimeter. Not only does he shoot it very well from three-point range off the catch, but the 6’5″ guard is a smooth creator off of the dribble with a pretty pull-up jump shot. Thought he looked very good at the Paul Corsaro Elite Camp.

Player Traits: Elite catch-and-shoot threat, can create on the ball, nice size on the wing, very high level scorer, high IQ, sneaky athletic

My Quick Thoughts: Coomer is a player that just knows what to do when it comes to helping his team win. Throughout his high school career, he has put up big time performance while proving to be one of the best shooters down in Southern Indiana. He is in for a big time highs school season, which should boost his recruitment.
