One of the top prospects in Kentucky's 2026 class, Davidson has continued to grow and develop as a player. Taking strides as a perimeter shooter, Davidson knocked down some deep 3-pointers and contested turnaround jumpers. Very skilled for a forward of his height, Davidson showed flashes of being able to handle the ball on the perimeter and create for himself. I also liked that Davidson was assertive as a scorer, controlling the first half with 19 points and helping his team extend the lead. For Davidson to take the next step, I'd like to see him become more confident finishing with his left hand. He had a couple layups where he opted to finish with his right hand on the left side. One of the top players in the state, Davidson is a player who will be followed closely with North Laurel these final two years of high school.

A physical force for Lexington Catholic, Meagher was Lexington Catholic's most important defensive piece and rebounder on Tuesday night. Meagher had a couple putback layups and was a roll man for Lexington Catholic's pick and roll offense. Combine that with a couple touch shots in the 8-15 foot range and Meagher was productive in the paint and a name to watch for small college programs this summer when those schools start to focus on 2026 prospects.

Moreno is playing like a potential McDonalds All American to start this season. Through two games he's averaging 28 points, 18.5 rebounds, 5 assists and 4.5 blocks a contest and has played two strong Kentucky teams in Ashland Blazer and Montgomery County. A dominant force in the paint on both ends, Moreno has elite hands for a center his size. In the first quarter alone Moreno had six dunks and his most impressive was an alley-oop thrown from behind half-court by [player_tooltip player_id='1208167' first='Gage' last='Richardson'] where Moreno turned in mid-air to throw down the dunk. Defensively, Moreno can erase shots that look like easy looks for the opposing team and is a tough player for guards to attack on a switch. When you are a consensus top 30 player in the country as a senior, you are expected to dominate Kentucky high school competition and that's exactly what Moreno has done so far this season.

I could've picked a handful of players as my second standout from Great Crossing and I landed on Richardson who is a key utility wing for their team. Maybe the best passer on the roster, Richardson does an excellent job of finding Moreno for lobs and post entry passes. Also able to knock down open shots from 3-point range, Richardson hit a couple 3-pointers against the zone defense Montgomery County was playing. I'm a big fan of what Richardson brings to the table as he'll be a key piece for Great Crossing's state title push.

One of the top athletes in the 2027 class in Kentucky, Jarvis is a big time talent. He turned that into production on Wednesday with a strong scoring effort. A tough player to stop in transition, Jarvis got some easy buckets by getting out on the fast break and using his size to score over smaller defenders. A comfortable shooter from the mid-range area, Jarvis had a couple pull-up jumpers off the dribble and knocked in one time and space 3-pointer and banked in another. Another prospect who needs some development with his ball handling in tight spaces, I love the fact that he's getting primary creator reps at the high school level and being the primary scoring option. I expect high major college coaches to make Jarvis a priority to watch this summer to see some of the growth he's showing in his game.

Terry immediately pops as a player with his height and perimeter skill plus being a freshman is very rare to see. Terry didn't have the most efficient game from the field but some of the movement skills with the ball and ability to space the floor are things that are so tough to teach at his age. In the second half, Terry had a couple really nice moves off the dribble including a left handed take to the rim and a pull-up jumper off a crossover. This looks like one of the top 2028 prospects in Kentucky and rightfully has a spot in our top 5 at the moment.

A big time shooter, Rowlett caught fire in the second half and helped keep Montgomery County close in this one for a stretch. Rowlett didn't need much time or space to fire away from long distance. Montgomery County also ran some interesting sets to get Rowlett looks where he started under the basket and popped out on the wing off a type of pin down action and Rowlett quickly set his feet and knocked down two triples off this play, showing the teams ability to execute sets and Rowlett's ability to make game speed contested shots. I also thought Rowlett had a couple scrappy rebounds, something I'll want to see more of from him. Definitely a name I'll be monitoring for the next few years as Montgomery County has a ton of talent projected to return next season.
