Building off a strong spring and summer, one of Oklahoma's premier floor generals looked the part during scrimmages this past Saturday. The speedy guard shot it well in the two scrimmages watched. From pulling up off the dribble, to catching and shooting; his jumped looked consistent, confident and produced good results. Remains a quick lead guard, who quarterbacked the pressure defense and helped set the tone for an aggressive pressing and up tempo squad. Another positive sign was his vocal leadership, even when subbed out.

The second part of Millwood's chaos causing, up tempo 2026 backcourt stars. Barrett has a strong claim as the best defender in Oklahoma's Class of 2026 and overall regardless of class. He backed that up with steals, relenting ball pressure and even a chase down block. The improving athleticism and strength also was apparent on offense. Where he did a better job of finishing through contact or punching it home with authority in transition. The signs of Barrett potentially being a great player were there as a sophomore and now as an upperclassman he looks ready to solidify himself as one of Oklahoma's best.

DEEP and earlier three pointers were a promising sign for Broken Arrow's senior leader. Shooting has been one of the areas of improvements for the versatile guard. If the ease he hit the deep threes were any indication, then Howell should take a step as a scorer. Because with his size and athleticism, he's often able to get wherever he wants on the court. Which will be even more of a problem if defenders have to respect his jumper. Look for additional scoring from Howell to be one of the keys for a deep Broken Arrow roster that's attempting to capture the Gold Ball in 6A.

Following a productive sophomore campaign, Milligan is set for a big junior year for the Lions. Comfortable getting off the ball, and moving to open spots in the mid-range. Or being a rhythm catch and shoot option. Lanky wingspan helps him play bigger than his height. Shooter first but appears to have good all around scoring chops for a Luther squad that's new to 2A and could be a sleeper.

With Lawton missing multiple players due to football, the promising junior had the opportunity to have more on the ball responsibilities. His handle looks to be improving. Can still dance a bit with the ball, when with his combo of height and wingspan he's better off when getting downhill and attacking. Where he can finish through contact, especially with his long arms. Was very promising as a sophomore as a "3 and D" piece and will have an even bigger role for one of the favorites in Class 5A.

Mbroh always brings the electricity to his game. He plays fast, but can stop on a dime. Most evident in old school mid-range game, but can also hit from distance. Can explode in a hurry on drives, leaving defenders in the dust. Profiling more as a two guard or a combo right now, feels like a natural scorer. Likes to gamble on defense, which can cause some highlight moments and hopefully he's good at picking his spots to gamble on defense this winter. Will be among the better scorers in Class 3A.

Playing this November as more of a pass first guard, who can get off the ball and be a weapon from distance. Very good rotation and fundamentals as a shooter, with a quick release from three. Doing a good job of remaining calm while breaking the press or pushing off turnovers and rebounds. Has moments as a high level passer, who has good touch on his passes and wants to try to hit tough passes to set up teammates with good scoring opportunties. But can still be wild at times, as he adjusts to the speed and defensive concepts that are more common at the high school level. If he continues to refine his decision making on passes, while providing a consistent scoring punch, Gillispie should have a breakout sophomore campaign.
