Senior sharpshooting wing led the way for the Wolves in a victory. Recorded 17 points, with three triples and another long two with his foot on the line. Along with his shooting, he’s a good athlete, with the wingspan to be an off the ball guard or wing at the next level. Handles will need to improve at the next level, or will be a strictly floor spacer on offense. Can be a real difference maker on defense when locked in. Will be interesting to watch as the senior urgency kicks in as he looks to play a big role for another potential 5A State Tournament run for the Wolverines.

Cacciola played to his strengths on Saturday, knockdown shooting. Was money from the perimeter, on the way to 17 points with five three pointers. His one none triple was a free throw line pull up. With the return of Lawton’s football players he was capable of playing in his more natural off the ball role. With the way he shots the ball, with his size and wingspan, he’s one of the higher upside prospects in Oklahoma’s junior class. It will be interesting to see how the rest of his game develops, but playing to his strengths should lead to a huge junior season.

With Lawton missing multiple players due to football, the promising junior had the opportunity to have more on the ball responsibilities. His handle looks to be improving. Can still dance a bit with the ball, when with his combo of height and wingspan he’s better off when getting downhill and attacking. Where he can finish through contact, especially with his long arms. Was very promising as a sophomore as a “3 and D” piece and will have an even bigger role for one of the favorites in Class 5A.

changes games with his exceptional finishing length and ability around the rim, not to mention his remarkable instincts of scoring in a variety of ways, showing an ability to contort his body through traffic to convert difficult shots near the basket. Patrick-Cacciola’s finishing skills are highlighted by his versatility, as he is capable of using inside hand layups to score when defenders step up to challenge him. His spatial awareness also helps him to exploit defensive weaknesses and find creative scoring angles inside.

The second half of a morning contest for the Oklahoma Wolfpack was a nice sneak peak of the type of dynamic offensive weapon that Patrick-Cacciola could become. He lived getting downhill, with transition slams and using his long arms to finish in the halfcourt. The Lawton Wolverine guard carved out a niche this winter as more of a “3 and D” type weapon. This start to his AAU season indicates he could use the 16U level to develop into a complete all around scorer. Shooting, next level size and wingspan, flashes of athleticism and off the dribble ability, what’s not to like about one of Oklahoma’s quickest rising sophomores?

The lanky youngster in the 580 is one of the more intriguing prospects in 2026. Watching his big performance against Putnam City West in December marked him down as a 3 and D prospect to closely monitor going forward. As with many youngsters, his season is coming in spurts. With some big performances mixed in with quieter ones, especially as right now he looks to have a game that relies more on others for shot creation. But with a fluid three point shot and a great frame for a youngster, he often makes the most of opportunities from deep and around the rim. He’s a strong candidate for “where did he come from” a year from now when discussing the best players in this class.

Midway through the second quarter, it became obvious that Cacciola is one of the top rising sophomores in Oklahoma with major upside. As Lawton built the lead in the first half, he nailed three pointers, operated in the dunker spot when Lawton broke the press, where he was good finisher around the basket. One of the most intriguing aspect about Cacciola’s game is his huge wingspan. Which he put too good use on the defensive end, often covering and applying pressure when picking up the ball around half court. He also looked very smooth when he took advantage of a mismatch, used a crossover to gain separation and nailed a long two over an opposing forward.
Cacciola wasn’t as efficient in the second half as the first half, but a couple aspects still stood out. Teammates continued to look for him in transition, and the coaching staff even drew plays for him to get him three points attempts. It appears the sophomore has a bright future ahead of him, with a potentially big sophomore campaign could be a launching pad to longterm success.
