Brewer was known as a sharpshooter as a junior, and he’s still a quality shotmaker from deep. But was also impressive with the steel and improvements he showed on the defensive end. Gets up and guards strongly, harassing on the ball. Good combo of moving his feet, leveraging a frame that should put on good weight and strength in college, and quick hands. After he frustrates opposing ball handlers, he can even pick pockets without fouling. His battling mentality in a potential 5A playoff preview type game is a good sign for his long term potential to quickly carve out a role at the next level.

During the high school season, Brewer thrived as a sharpshooter on an athletic Lawton squad. While he still knocked down shots as a good clip in a game watched Sunday morning, it was also a showcase for more time with the rock in his hands. Which included good moves on the perimeter to either hit stepback triples, or get into the mid-range. The viewing was a good sign of Brewer’s all around game is expanding ahead of his senior season.

Sparkplug guard, who brought timely scoring throughout, including the biggest play of the night. Down one in the closing seconds, Brewer caught a pass, drilled the triple and was even fouled. He put the finishing touches on the game with the ensuing free throw for a four point play. Along with the late game heroics, had a good scoring spurt in transition. Pulled up with confidence for one triple, while also running the floor to get to the rim for easy scores. Key part of the Wolverines’ junior core that provides them with the depth to compete for a 5A state title.
