On Saturday October 5th 30 Players from 5 states attended The Expo: WV in Triadelphia West Virginia. While numbers were small in quantity the quality of player was extremely high. Competitive games ensued during the event seeing many college level prospects going at it and showing their best qualities. Here's who we saw and thought were the top performers for the event.

[player_tooltip player_id='2306566' first='Isaiah' last='Turner'] absolutely killed it on Saturday. Turner is impressive with decision making and keeping the pace and tempo of the game his own. Turner showed excellent shooting at all levels, finishes with either hand on either side, explosive blow-by ability and stop on a dime pull ups. A great command for the floor and setting up teammates as well as keeping the floor balanced. A true point guard in every sense with highly efficiency in distributing or scoring.

[player_tooltip player_id='2437132' first='Jayce' last='Gum'] was that guy. That guy who blocked shots, played defense anywhere on the floor, continuously put back rebounds for easy buckets, shot over 50% from deep and passed effectively to cutters from the high post. He was also "that guy" who everyone was asking about and talking about. We'd expect big things from the kid who might have the highest ceiling on this list.

[player_tooltip player_id='2554051' first='Camden' last='Kellogg'] is truly a player flying under the radar until Saturday when people starting noticing. But, one can't fly under the radar forever when your father coaches a top 25 women's team at the state flagship school. Kellogg is a walking talking fundamental video as you might imagine. A crafty and skilled lefty who shows no real weakness other than maybe his physical stature, which i'm sure will be changed soon. Kellogg seems to be a late blooming player with a super high basketball IQ, moves one step ahead of most defenders with his anticipation and athleticism.

[player_tooltip player_id='2410034' first='Phoenix' last='Sickles'] is one of the most under-hyped college level prospects in WV. Sickles did nothing to hurt his reputation on Saturday while showing his usual range of skills. Sickles shoots it extremely well at his 6'4" - 6'5" height with a quick and high release. Phoenix routinely makes plays passing the ball as well as moving well without the ball himself. However his "under-recruitment" is likely to end soon as he was nothing les than impressive and coaches noticed.

[player_tooltip player_id='1578731' first='Baustin' last='Bowers'] just takes a licking and keeps on ticking no matter the gym, opponent or event. Maybe a bit smallish in stature for some, Bowers has great skill in knowing his limits as well as how to use his body to shield and make space from defenders whether it be from three, mid-range or at the hoop. It's obvious Bowers takes great pride in his personal workouts an has honed his skills to fit the point guard position and be a super efficient scorer.

[player_tooltip player_id='2332910' first='Braylon' last='Ward'] seemed to step a bit further out of his shell on Saturday. Ward has slowly worked himself into an excellent two way player throughout summer and enters the fall a bit bigger, more skilled and certainly seasoned. Ward seemed to do everything right on Saturday rarely missing shots while being very selective, grabbing really tough rebounds and leading breaks and even finishing a break with a tomahawk dunk. Nothing less than impressive showing for Ward.

[player_tooltip player_id='2243493' first='Braedy' last='Johnston'] has a game that slowly grows on you. Nothing flashy just gritty play on both ends while taking pride in being the best defender on the floor and being the glue guy on offense. By glue guy I mean, he does everything everyone else can't or isn't willing to do. That includes set picks, get offensive rebounds, get paint touches with the ball and distribute with kick outs and drop offs. Johnston ripped off many step back and short fade away mid range jumpers that stymied defenders in 3v3 as well as 5v5. Braedy also has no problem taking up any role on the floor whether is at point, wing or even post. He's a true hooper.
