Sogaard started the morning very strong against a weaker and smaller opponent. Every rebound was his, and if it wasn’t, he was in the mix. It was easy to run the offense partially through him, feeding it to him and allowing him to decide if he wanted to go up with it or kick it out to a shooter or cutter. His feel for where the defense was made it evident that he had strong awareness, knowing whether or not he had a mismatch or if there should be an open guy. Overall, though, Sogaard used his size and strength to dominate the smaller opponent.
