Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp - Team 4 Evaluations

Nobody does content and event coverage like Prep Hoops. We flexed those muscles on Sunday as we welcomed in 150+ of the best freshmen in the state for our annual Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase. Then, we hosted our inaugural Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp which featured 110+ prospects including half of our Top 25 ranked players. It was an outstanding turnout and a great pool of talent for our first time introducing the event. Over the next week or so our team of scouts at Prep Hoops Indiana will evaluating every player in attendance at both events. For this one, we look at Team 4.   ***As you can imagine, trying to cover 110+ prospects in a single event is a very daunting task. Also, there always end up being a couple of jersey number discrepancies, so if you attended the Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp and DID NOT receive an evaluation, please reach out to Brandon Ramsey via email coachbrandonramsey@gmail.com or on Twitter @BRamseyKSR.***    A 5'10" guard out of Greenwood Christian Academy, Baker helped handle some ball handling duties and served as a facilitator for Team 4 throughout the Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp. He was able stay under control against ball pressure and get his team into offense consistently. Baker is a poised, composed point guard with good vision and a high basketball IQ.     Already well known as one of the best guards in the Indiana's Class of 2027, Tonagel suited up for Team 4 at the Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp. His typical playmaking ability was on full display throughout the event. He has the ball on a string at all times with the ability to pull up and shoot as a high percentage shot-maker or make any pass necessary from a live dribble. Tonagel is a high IQ guard with great pace and feel. He put up big numbers as a freshman, but he should continue to breakout even further this winter as a sophomore.     This athletic guard stood out in 5-on-5 play with his shooting ability. Younce was a consistent catch-and-shoot threat for Team 4 and then was able to attack closeouts as the defense treated him more and more like a shooter. The 6'0" guard from Eastbrook High School had success in both realms showcasing his well-rounded scoring ability. He is a talented player that could be an under-the-radar prospect in the Class of 2027.     Another young prospect from the [program_tooltip program_id='2076166' first='Grand' last='Park Premier'] program on this Team 4 squad at the Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp, Kettery was effective as a shooter throughout the event. The 5'11" guard made multiple three-point shots and displayed good range helping to stretch the floor and open up driving lanes for teammates. Intriguing young prospect to follow out of Alexandria High School.     Baker is a thin guard that attends Decatur Central High School. The 5'10" shooter made a corner three-point shot while we were evaluating Team 4 showcasing a quick release and sound footwork on the perimeter. He moves well without the ball, reads screening action well, and can make shots when moving off of the catch. Baker also showcased enough ball handling ability to act as a distributor at times as well.     Coming off of a solid summer both on the grassroots circuit and with Avon High School, Miller continued his strong play at the Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp. The 6'3" wing displayed impressive two-way versatility with good athletic and physical tools. He had a couple of nice drives offensively where he would utilize a spin move to get back to his right hand and finish. Defensively, he was active both on and off of the ball using his length and quickness to be disruptive.     We at Prep Hoops Indiana have been very high on this Crown Point High School product since early in the spring when we first saw him on the Puma Circuit with [program_tooltip program_id='2076166' first='Grand' last='Park Premier']. Kaegi continued to standout on Sunday and was named a top performer at the Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp. The 6'2" guard is an excellent shooter and highly skilled all-around offensive player. There is a lot of talent at Crown Point right now, specifically young talent, with Kaegi certainly being among the top names to know.     Trinity Lutheran could be a real factor in Class 1A over the next few seasons. They already won a Sectional championship last season with new freshmen leading them in scoring which including Mellencamp at 11.6 points per game. The 6'3" guard is a sharpshooter from beyond the arc and that skill was certainly on display at the Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp. High upside wing that will be a high percentage shot-maker for years to come.     Lauderdale appeared to be most effective in transition during 5-on-5 play on Sunday at the Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp. The 6'3" forward ran the floor well and was effective off of the throw ahead when he could use just a couple of dribbles and then extend out to finish at the rim. His fluid athleticism and length really shined when running the floor. Those some physical tools translated to the defensive side of the floor as well.
