A very under-the-radar guard that we at Prep Hoops Indiana have had a chance to see a few times this AAU season Greenwood Christian Academy’s Zakiah Baker Zakiah Baker 5'10" | PG/SG Greenwood Christian | 2027 IN . Baker runs with Indiana Reign Supreme and has been the head of the snake for them each time we have watched them. Baker is a high IQ guard with good ball-handling ability, excellent floor vision, and some toughness as an on-ball defender. He will be a guard to keep an eye on this weekend.

This was the second straight weekend that Baker stood out for Indiana Reign Supreme 16u. The 5’10” point guard from Greenwood Christian Academy was excellent at The Stage and followed it up with a strong weekend at the Chi-Town Tip Off helping lead his team to a 3-1 record. Baker is a high IQ guard with good ball-handling ability, excellent floor vision, and some toughness as an on-ball defender. He is the head of the snake for what Indiana Reign Supreme does and that has led to a good deal of winning so far this spring.

Baker was one one of the better floor generals that I watch at the 16u level. Started off the game with a couple of steals and really impressive 15ft jumpers that when in. Took pride on the defensive end which will always be a standout at any level. Overall, I like his ability to run an offense while making plays for himself and others. Impressive showing.

A 5’10” guard out of Greenwood Christian Academy, Baker helped handle some ball handling duties and served as a facilitator for Team 4 throughout the Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp. He was able stay under control against ball pressure and get his team into offense consistently. Baker is a poised, composed point guard with good vision and a high basketball IQ.
