Defensively he played with active hands a high motor. Was able to rebound his position and lead the break where he made good decisions handling the ball leading to assists.

A talented guard, both on and off of the ball, Cheesman showcased his abilities over the course of the summer. The 5’10” guard shoots in well when playing the “2” and is more-than-capable creator when playing the lead guard spot. This left-handed guard from Roncalli High School showed impressive skill both on and off of the ball throughout the Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase. He operated off of screening action well with good change of pace and sound footwork. Cheesman will be able to making shots off the move and can create once he has the ball in his hands as well. Look for him to develop into a good backcourt piece down the road.
