Perhaps the most intriguing class in the state, the rising juniors made major statements throughout June and July that will impact what happens in September during the next rankings update. Some were already known commodities, while others broke out. Nevertheless, here are several who really stepped this summer:

The twitchy off-ball guard made the move from Tower Hill to Sallies and continued to do his thing. Defensively, Coleman shot the gap and deflected passes for steals, then finished above the rim. On offense, he played with pace off-the-catch, getting into the lane before acrobatically scoring off of two feet. Coleman showed glimpses of skill getting to his spots for middy pull-ups as well.

Determined to show he can do more than simply hit corner threes and get steals, which he did well for his grassroots team, Denis flashed the potential to be a shot-maker with the Senators. He created space for himself beyond the arc, as well as at the second level. Denis played the one for stretches, initiating the offense on top of his point-of-attack defense.

[player_tooltip player_id='2461953' first='Elijah' last='Farrington'] | 6'6 F 2026 Milford + DE Running Rebels

The big man from Milford opened a lot of eyes with his post play. A below-the-rim finisher, Farrington displayed touch around the basket as he got high-percentage shots using crisp drop-steps on the block and quick drives from the mid-post. He was a problem on the glass too. Farrington vacuumed in close to double-digit rebounds (if not more) in every sighting.

[player_tooltip player_id='2352458' first='Bryson' last='Lane'] | 6'1 G 2026 Howard + Delaware Certified Hoopers

Lane understands what he does best and that's shoot the cover off the ball. Over the course of June, he had several big outings where he knocked down movement and spot-up threes at a high clip. His ability to attack closeouts was only second to his floor spacing. When defenders ran him off the line, Lane put the ball on the floor to pressure the rim and made secondary passing reads.

[player_tooltip player_id='2473347' first='Vinny' last='Starr'] | 5'9 G 2026 Conrad + Role Model Elite

A combo guard with some moxy, Starr was fearless in some big moments over the summer. He dialed up much needed buckets for his squads with his craft as a driver and with his touch from deep. The versatility on his jumper came through when he played off of other guards with catch-and-shoot threes. And although he was never the biggest or fastest, Starr took risks as an off-ball defender that often turned into huge plays for his team.

[player_tooltip player_id='2352450' first='Trevor' last='Webster'] | 6'3 G/W 2026 Sanford + East Coast Cyclones MHC

A change of scenery did Webster some good as he began to deliver on the potential he evidenced at earlier stages. Whether it was with the Warriors or on the Made Hoops circuit, the two-way guard used his strength to push slashers off their line to the rim and his instincts to jump passes for two points the other way. And with a head of steam on offense, Webster got to the rim off-the-catch and/or as a lob threat.
