Elwer led 16 U 3SSB in scoring efficiency according to synergy, a remarkable statistic from the small-town guard. After a dominant sophomore season for Delphos St John's, Elwer proved this spring and summer that he can produce Vs some of the top talent in the country. Elwer is a strong guard who doesn't get pushed off his spots and is an elite shooter. Only holding one Division I offer from Toledo, I expect Elwer's recruitment to pick up steam very quickly.

The younger brother of Chico Johnson, a Toledo Central Catholic guard who plays at the Division I level, Manny flashes some different traits than his older brother. Able to play on or off the ball, Johnson mostly played the wing guard role for the [program_tooltip program_id='2075761' first='Ohio' last='Buckets'] but we could see him with the ball primarily in his hands this winter for the Irish. A shifty guard when he's attacking downhill, Johnson is tough to stay in front of with his bend and wiggle off the dribble. A bit of a later bloomer than some in this class, Johnson has improved his production and I expect him to be one of the best guards in northwest Ohio this winter.

Straight up, Foster might be the most athletic player in Ohio. He became a big time stock riser watching him play on the EYBL circuit in a more up-tempo setting with other elite athletes on the court, Foster stands out with his bounce, frame and quick twitch ability. His fit with Lima Sr has been tremendous as they had a ton of success in June by simply overwhelming teams with their defensive pressure. A little undersized height wise for his position as a wing guard, Foster makes up for it with his frame and playing bigger than the height on the roster says. Foster gained a handful of mid major offers this summer and deserved all the new interest.

Compton had a big spring for [program_tooltip program_id='2078667' first='TNBA' last=''] and his move to Elyria sets them up for a big winter with [player_tooltip player_id='1491457' first='Jayden' last='Crutcher'] back as a senior. Compton has improved his body and started putting on a little weight. Always been an elite shooter and perimeter scorer, Compton started to show more off the dribble game. Continuing to work at his body and start setting up teammates more consistently will be the next step in his game but the upside Compton has is tremendous.

Another one of the top shooters in Ohio, Mattucci had a breakout spring with the 16 U UA Rise champions, Nova Village. In the process, Mattucci earned his first offer from Ohio University. With good positional size, a clear role as a lights out shooter and a high IQ playing off the basketball, Mattucci scales up easily to the college level. New Albany had a surprise season last year under new Head Coach Tim Casey and the Eagles could again be one of the better teams in central Ohio with Mattucci as their offensive engine this season.
