2025 Guards:
Jordan Watford Jordan Watford 6'4" | CG Lancaster | 2025 State #180 Nation SC , Melvin Teal Jr Melvin Teal Jr 6'3" | PG Summerville | 2025 State #301 Nation SC , Daron Dunbar Daron Dunbar 6'4" | SG North Augusta | 2025 State SC , Nas Berry Nas Berry 6'1" | CG Fort Mill | 2025 State SC , Tyson Ray Tyson Ray 6'3" | PG Chapin | 2025 State SC and Reese Walter Reese Walter 6'1" | SG Boiling Springs | 2025 State SC
Watford is the #1 player in the 2025 Palmetto State Class. Jordan recently picked up an offer from Wofford this past week. Jordan does what he has to do for the Bruins with his game. At times that means playing out position but that doesn’t interfere with the end results. He understands on how to win and be productive – by stuffing the stat sheet night in and night out.
Teal Jr is built like a tank going to the basket. Melvin who plays at Summerville HS will play football this coming season for the Green Wave. Melvin really likes punishing defenders on the way to the bucket and scoring the rock. He has really picked up his game in this past year with his passing skills. He will seek out and get the ball into the paint and gaps while getting downhill. Teal Jr has improved on his perimeter shot this past spring. He runs on the Grassroots Circuit with the Charleston Raptors .
Dunbar played with plenty of confidence here this weekend. Daron was really strong with his mid-range game here today in a victory over Keenan HS. He was able to get to his spot and create scoring opportunities for himself and his teammates. Daron constantly plays so well around the ball and is always in position to make a play on either end of the court.
Berry is part of the guard trio at Fort Mill HS with A.J. Washington A.J. Washington 6'3" | SG Davidson Day | 2026 NC and Logan Parker Logan Parker 6'1" | SG Fort Mill | 2025 SC . The Yellow Jackets operate through Berry who can score the rock from all 3 levels on the floor. Nas does a nice job of separating himself away from defenders to get his shot off at times.
Tyson Ray Tyson Ray 6'3" | PG Chapin | 2025 State SC has made great strides this past spring on the Grassroots Circuit and with the Chapin HS Eagles. Tyson has good size from out top and the ability to get the ball downhill to the bucket in a hurry. Ray a certain Stock-Riser in the next set of rankings update really wants to push the ball down the floor. Tyson is the primary ball-handler on the Eagles roster. He really likes to use the bounce pass while attacking the left-side of the rim.
Walter came out on fire in a game vs South Pointe HS here today. Reese connected on several three-pointers from downtown. He used a 1-2 dribble pull-up jumper at times to score the ball. Reese never seemed to be rushed at all to get his shot off today. He played very composed and showed good shot efficiency. Walter plays at Boiling Springs HS for Head Coach Craig Martin.
2025 Forwards-POSTS:
Jamie Brooks Jamie Brooks 6'6" | C Atlantic Collegiate Academy | 2025 State SC , Tre’von Walker Tre’von Walker 6'3" | CG Aiken | 2025 State SC , Devin Swindler Devin Swindler 6'3" | SF Clinton | 2025 State SC , RJ Hill RJ Hill 6'5" | PF South Pointe | 2025 SC and Ethan Diles Ethan Diles 6'5" | SF North Central | 2025 State SC .
Brooks was fantastic today with his play for Atlantic Collegiate Academy. Jamie finished with 32 points on 13-18 from the floor. He was extremely effective all day long with his play inside-out on the floor. Jamie can impact a game on the defensive end of the floor with his ability to challenge and alter shots. Brooks is a quick leaper and a bit of a tweener on the floor at times. He can step-out and knockdown the 15–17-footer or simply eat up the glass on putbacks.
Walker could use some support around him at times here at Aiken HS. Tre’von brings good versatility to the floor for the Hornets. The left-handed Walker has good length and always remains active on both ends of the court. Tre’von can play multiple position on the floor and really likes to handle the rock at times. Walker plays a bi off the grid over in this part of the state on the Grassroots Circuit.
Swindler plays up at Clinton HS for the Red Devils and Head Coach Dontavius Glenn. Devin really plays well off two feet and constantly competes on both ends of the floor. He was able to connect on some three-pointers here today after cleaning up on the glass on both ends of the court. He made some heady passes today to teammates to set up some easy baskets in return.
Hill is an absolute junkyard dog at times with his play around the basket. RJ understands where he brings production and that’s around the bucket. He delivers on putbacks and just all-out hustle for the South Pointe HS Stallions and Head Coach Melvin Watson. RJ battles for position and surely has no problems mixing it up on the glass.
Diles plays up at North Central HS in Kershaw County. Ethan isn’t flashy at all with his play. He was surely effective today in the game we watched him in. Diles a combo forward was able to deliver some short jumpers and hustle points with his play. Ethan is a deceptive athlete at times and really likes to play the game on the perimeter. He does like to put the ball on the deck and handle it when needed. He started his career off at nearby Lugoff-Elgin HS before coming over to the Knights a season ago.
