slides up in 13th from 12th. He is a shifty and elusive guard that can dodge defenders when attacking the basket. His ability to change di rections is impressive, and I like he can locate the rim in traffic amongst the forwards and centers. Boyce has tight handles as well, and will facilitate for others if he draws extra attention. I’m also a fan of how he generates takeaways. averaging over 2.5 steals per game. Overall, he’s a very tough guard and it’ll be fun to watch him continue to evolve.

Ja’Cory Boyce was effective with his ball-handling and burst against Faith Lutheran. He showed patience, waiting for the right moment to change gears and beat defenders off the dribble to get to the rim. I also liked how he played with pace and composure, rarely forcing anything. On the defensive end, Boyce competed with consistent energy, and utilized his high motor to pester the Crusader guards.

‘s constantly had defenders on their heels last night. His explosive first and second step allow him to create space. And from there he can dodge defenders in the lane to get his shot off. Some of his top highlights from last night included: a tough floater down the stretch, an impressive lay-up in overtime, and he was knocking down a majority of his free throws.

had a slow start scoring-wise. But in the second half, he locked back in and kept the defense on its heels throughout the fourth quarter. His ability to generate offense was a major reason the Wildcats kept it close, even though they ultimately came up just short. Expect Boyce to play a key role again as Las Vegas looks to beat Mojave this week in what should be a good matchup.

has cracked the top 20 and now holds the #15 position. He has really burst onto the scene for the Wildcats and gives them some real juice. His explosive first step is tough for defenders to match, and he often leaves them in the dust. I also like how he helps Las Vegas push the pace with his transition play. Overall, there’s a lot to like about his game, and he will be a prospect I continue to monitor this winter.

Jacory Boyce is a tough man to stop in transition. He has a nose for the basket and he can rack up lay-ups in a hurry. Opponents resorted to fouling him at times. And he was also able to set up his teammates for easy buckets when he drew a second defender. While LVBC didn’t get the win, I was a fan of how he competed.

It looks as though Jacory Boyce will be the new lead guard for the Wildcats. He is jittery on both ends of the court and I’m a fan of the way he competes. I also noticed him getting creative with the rock to both score and distribute. His quickness helped him elude defenders, and he can make difficult finishes. As a defender, Boyce constantly pestered his opponents and made them work to gain ground.

Jacory Boyce can hit the gas pedal to accelerate past his guy on offense, and from there he usually find a ways to score. Boyce also keeps his eyes up as he drives, and he dishes it to his teammates for open shots. If he has a productive spring and summer, expect him to get more minutes on Varsity next year.
