Ryan Morgan | Prep Hoops Scout
Puyallup will be an interesting team this winter after losing its top guy, Drew Jones. They still return a talented roster, and Hedman is one of those guys who could step up to fill a bigger role. He’s flashed some real scoring potential as a wing who can play off his jumper. He has the ability to shoot out of a lot of scenarios: catch and shoot, off the dribble, turnarounds, pull-ups. He has some decent size too and will be a senior wing to watch who could take a big step forward.

Hedman has good size and shooting to contribute on the wings and has continued to look more consistent and aggressive with his shot-making since we first saw him a year ago. He can be a super effective spot-up shooter with good range, but he’s also making more attacks off the bounce and looking to attack the middle of the floor.

Hedman should play a key role as a secondary perimeter scorer. He showed off a nice stroke from three Saturday, making shots off the catch, off the dribble, on the break, and in the half-court. He has a little extra length on his wingspan that gives him a pretty high release and allows him to shoot over defenders. Hedman also made a few key dishes for assists off the PNR and surveying the floor from the perimeter.
