Another key guard for the Vikings is Looker. He’s another quick, aggressive player who can help their defense and team set the tone and pace for a game. He’s got the quick hands to get pokes on the ball, has the quick feet to take chances up in passing lanes, and the ability to recover quickly, and is critical to helping set things up in the halfcourt. They’ll need both guards to be on their game to make a deep run this March.

Looker showed a lot to like last season with his ability to handle the ball under pressure, shoot gaps in the halfcourt, and play sticky defense on the ball. This season, he’ll be running the point a lot more with the departure of Drew Jones and should be able to create an air of pressure on both ends.

Looker is a good athlete at the point who can impact the game on both ends. He has great feet and hands, allowing him to play quick with the ball, bursting out of dribble moves, attacking gaps, and applying pressure up and down the court on ballhandlers. He’s shown some strong finishing through contact at the rim as well as some excellent playmaking off downhill drives, and great awareness to pass around help defenders and go against the grain to get his guys open looks at the rim.

Looker is a smaller guard but he packs a punch on both ends. He plays with great top-end speed and bursts, making him a real threat to jump passing lanes, provide pressure along the perimeter, and help his team get on the break. He adds dynamic slashing on the offensive end with his quickness into gaps and his late burst by defenders at the rim, and he’s shown some good head fakes and stop-and-start to win in tight areas.

Super quick guard who’s got a few good moves to get downhill and has the high-end speed to breakaway in transition, shoot gaps off the dribble and beat help defenders to the rim. Has some crafty finishing inside even at top speed and shows he can mix in some floaters. Should be a bigger contributor next season and plays with high energy on both ends.
