BW Elite HGSL vs. Caveman HGSL is Going to Be a Ridiculous 17U Contest.
It is East meets West on Saturday morning as two of the top grassroots programs in Pennsylvania as well as the HGSL circuit face off down in Virginia. Earlier this spring BW’s top team captured their division title at the Pitt Jam Fest. Their success is predicated on a group of dynamic guards that push the pace. Point guards

If your Instagram or Tik Tok feed is filled with basketball clips, then you know that Yedsena is a bouncy athlete who will not hesitate to cram on an opponent’s head. Still, there is much more to this Mahanoy HS star’s game than just SportsCenter worthy dunks. Yedsena can pop threes from anywhere along the arc. He possesses a quick release and NBA range. He also moves well without the ball, which makes him even more difficult to guard on the perimeter. Additionally, this lefty owns the handles and high IQ to function as a distributing guard too.

After fantastic performances at the Hoop Group Spring Fling and the Rare Footage Spring Classic, this athletic “3 and D” style wing prospect is primed for a national breakout. In addition to lacing threes, Brown (Lower Merion HS) can score through and over defenders in transition. In the half-court he can generate points on quick post ups and on dives to the cup. His half-court bag also includes putting the ball on the deck and attacking the rim from the free throw line extended areas. Brown does a respectable job of working the offensive glass for points too. At the other end of the court, Brown’s impressive wingspan and quick reactions enable him to provide intimidating rim protection.
