Waters III Enrolls at Sunrise Christian Academy
Prep Hoops Oklahoma learned Monday 2017 Shooting Guard Lindy Waters III has enrolled at Sunrise Christian Academy in Wichita, Kansas.
Norman North will have a large void with the absence of Waters III this season. Waters III was a key scoring presence in the Norman North basketball program. The Timberwolves will also miss Waters III presence on the glass as he was the top rebounder a season ago.
Sunrise Christian Academy has had several prospects go on to be very successful after graduation. One of the most recent success stories for Sunrise Christian Academy is Buddy Hield. Now in his senior season at the University of Oklahoma Hield is one of the top college basketball players in the nation.
Waters III will look to continue his great success on the court at Sunrise Christian Academy. The national schedule Sunrise Christian Academy has will provide great exposure for Waters III.
Following his great summer on the Adidas Circuit Waters III totaled 28 Division I offers. He cut his list down to four schools, but since then announced his decision to reclassify to the 2017 Class. With two years remaining in Prep School Waters III has reopened his recruitment.
The loss of Waters III at Norman North hurts the Timberwolves quest for the Class 6A State Championship. The trio of 2017 Point Guard Trae Young, 2016 Point Guard Marcus Dickinson, and 2017 Center Cameron Martin will look to prevail through adversity this season.
Young is one of the top recruits in the nation in the 2017 Class, Dickinson has multiple Division I offers on the table, and Martin continues to add offers after his great summer.
Waters III was the second ranked player in the 2017 Class in Oklahoma. Several national publications have Waters III ranked. He is ranked 79 by Rivals, 74 by 247 Sports, and 77 by Scout.
